I have a number of contacts stored in Google Contacts that I use from the phone app on a Google Pixel 6 phone. Lately I am noticing that these contacts disappear if I have not used them for a while (about one year). Can someone explain why that happens? Is Google sending those into an archive status and can I retrieve them? Some of these contacts were distributors, and I had carefully added entries for each distributor location, names of managers, etc. To lose so much work is very painful, and it makes me not trust Google's product.

Hi, total newbee here. I have installed android studio and followed a couple of simple lesson projects. Now I want to move up to a database project. I installed the current java connector for mySQL along with the workbench. Using the workbench I was able to construct a database and tables with some data. The tutorial I am following talks about importing a jar file which is supposed to be part of the mySQL archive, but I cannot find it anywhere on my pc. The tutorial is a few years old and I know things have changed. So is this jar file no longer needed? Can someone help me out here?

Also, it would be helpful if someone could point me to some more recent (current) tutorials.

Hi everyone. I'm looking to get some input if it's possible to connect multiple bluetooth devices to a Pixel 5a.
I want to be able to connect to both a third party bluetooth audio receiver for my car as well as a possible radar detector that I may be considering buying. Specifically the Valentine One Gen 2.

From this Pixel phone help thread i found, it doesn't sound like it's possible. But I want to be absolutely sure that something like this wouldn't be possible.

I figured that as long as it's not two audio devices i'm connecting it to that it would be fine, but i'm not sure.
Anybody have any more educated ideas?

How do I factory reset my ASUS zenpad tablet?

I have a galaxy j7 with a non-functional power button. I used adb to boot the device into recovery mode but it is stuck in the recovery mode now. Adb can't detect the device anymore so I can't use it again to reboot the device out of recovery mode. Is there any other possible key combination that can be used instead of power button to select options and perform operations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Im trying to wipe all my personal data froman older alcatel one touch fierce xl phone i was using before getting rid of it.

Does it need a sim card or me to sign into my google account for any of these functions to work?

I tried looking for factory reset under settings and cant find that option anywhere somewhere i read its under backup but i dont sign into my google account as it would get linked back to my devices on computer google account.

I also tried the hard reset by buttons holding the power button and volume up key releasing the power button when i got to the alcatel screen and it went into the gear lightening froze screen. The only way to power it off was hold the same buttons i had used to get there.

I tried another method of holding the power button, volume up key as well as home key and it then stopped on an exclaimation point ! same thing happened i had to use the same buttons to turn it back off and onto normal power up functions.

Would anyone know where the settings reset is and if i need to be signed into my google account on phone only thing is signing in will link the device on my gmail account and be stuck that way.

As for the hard reset to erase data i cant get to that screen, Its a phone i used for a couple years it got a screen crack and purchased a replacement. The microsoft lumia 435 had no problems performing the hard reset only this alcatel one touch which should show the same r2d2 opened up for microsoft windows phones but doesnt just stops or freezes on those screens and only way back is use the same buttons pressed to power off.

Well, I know I had the Flipboard app, but uninstalled it long ago. As to the other three, I think they're all native to the Samsung tablet, an old Galaxy Tab A SM-P555M.

I recently got a OnePlus 2 for use when I'm traveling to the EU. It came(Ebay) with TWRP installed but factory reset and no root access.
Right now, all I want is comms from PC to Device. I have tried everything I can. USB Debugging is on, OEM Unlock is on, Drivers installed from the device, SDK installed, etc
What confuses me: When I plug in my Pixel 7 and type 'ADB Devices' it's recognized immediately so it seems the PC is ok.

I'm simply lost. Any advice is greatly appreciated

It's been working great but this week when it boots up, it cant find a home screen or launcher so it just sits there saying "Android Starting Up" Therefore I cannot access any android settings pages.

Ive tried accessing recovery options on boot but nothing seems to work.

Just for information, my unit has no physical on/off button or volume buttons, just a reset button which I held for 10 seconds but no recovery mode came up.

I'd like to reinstall a fresh copy of android on it but I've been told that USB Debugging needs to be selected but I cannot access this because I cant access any android menus on it.

Any solutions please?

I currently have the Galaxy Watch 5 and I have two questions:
1. How can I set cycling as an auto detect workout to automatically begin when I'm riding my bike? I previously had the Active Watch 2 and cycling would automatically start. I can't find that feature with the Watch 5. In my auto detect activities, all I see are: Run/Walk, Elliptical, Rowing machine and Dynamic Workout (really, what is that???), and they are all turned on.
2. Does anyone know if pickleball will be added to Samsung Health as a workout? I see tennis, table tennis, badminton and racquetball, but not pickleball. Which one of those should should I use to accurately record my pickleball games?
