Hi. I have a Messages app on my Galaxy Note 8, a sort of rectangular white word balloon with three blue dots inside (see attachment) but I can't remember where it came from. I suspect it was preloaded but I can't find any info on it.

I would appreciate any help in clarifying it's source.

I have never used Android 9 Nokia 7.2 before, so am finding this perhaps obvious change very hard indeed.
The main screen shows a time, a date and a temperature - but in Fahrenheit, which is not helpful to me.
Google engine searching for how to change it to Celsius mentions language settings, but it is set to UK English already, so there is nothing to alter.
Searching in the phone, it finds an umbrella and "weather temperature unit preference" - but you cannot tap anything to link to the place where this setting is found.
Some other answers talk about a "google app" but I have no idea what that is.
I want what I can only describe as "Phone > Settings > Preferences > Temperature > Units : F/C".
Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks.

Title says it all. Daughter is still using the U11 and just went to download netflix. Ya, nope.

Seems to be changes in Play Store giving Dev's option to block phones with unlocked bootloader? Which the only way to get HTC's, even then, was unlocked from HTC.

I will say, sideloading Netflix apk from apkmirror did the trick, but seriously, as if I needed more evidence that HTC is dead....

I tried googling my issue and even spoke to Samsung "experts" and have got nowhere. Hopefully someone here can help.

I have a Galaxy S10E and after the last system update I can longer download files to my phone. It automatically wants to download to an SD card but there isn't one in the phone. There never has been. I can't figure out how to set it so it downloads items to the phone again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Gets extremely warm within a few minutes of pluggin in the wall charger, as well one of my wall chargers for my cell from time to time, I know this room gets cooled down, and I know of the plug in areas, the main one by the bed has a AC nearby it.. So I just have it charging on my comp, it is really irritating on how stupid things can get though.. I know the modifications of having my usb chargers for my phone, can really do some hurt on my tablet, but charged it in the past with it, it seem pretty good with that in mind too.

But sometimes the wall charger does get warm. Anyways I got to get off this comp for a bit, see you soon.

I would like to use my own notification tones, one for as a ringtone and another for messages. I have tried to do this previously but have resulted in my phone not making any notification sounds. Would someone please be able to walk me through how I can use my own MP3's for alerts, thank you?

I have a Samsung A5 2017 with broken screen. Is there a way that I can manage to transfer files to my pc. I have tried using smartswitch but to no avail as the below message pops up:

USB file transfer is not allowed.

The device that is connected to this computer does not allow usb file transfer.
Unlock the connected device, then allow usb file transfer to transfer files via USB.

The smartphone is protected with a pin number, however to unlock it I have managed to connect a keyboard to it's USB C port.

How can I get rid of this message and manage to transfer files onto my pc?

When I swipe down from the Notification Bar,
there is a line that says:

"Silent notifications . . . . . . . . . . . . . . x"

Can I remove this bar?
Because when you accidentally touch it, it clears all my notifications.

Hello guys first post ever.

So i bought this new Vivo iQoo Pro from china (CN ROM this brand doesn't have Global ROM) and everything works as expected, including performance for games (downloaded .apks), the fingerprint reader works great, and overall everything is fine, except for one detail, and it is i don't have any google apps (normal on a CN ROM) including play store, chrome, etc. How do i install these apps on this phone? I like to sleep to the sound of rain, and instead of using a white noise app, I prefer to use an hour-long audio file of rain sounds on repeat. The problem is my phone at some point during the night goes quiet, and I can't figure out why. In my half-awake state, I restart the sounds, but later on, again they've stopped.

This problem happens when I put the track on repeat and also when I make a playlist of several instances of the track. It happens with different music players. When I'm awake, I test the transitions between tracks or the repeat, everything seems to work fine.

The stopping doesn't happen when I use a white noise app.

How do I keep the sounds from stopping when using an mp3 player?

I bought an app and we made an update of it to change the Admob to my code. The problem is that the majority of the users didn't update this app so they are still using the Admob code of the previous owner.

Is there any posibility of setting the app for example in the Google Play Console to make an automatic update in the users devices to every active users use the latest version?

Someone told me that if the app is hosted in a own / online server we can set up this. Is this true?

Can you please tell me how can I make that all the users use the latest version of the app?

I have a problem installing apps using Android Studio (3.5.3) whereby sometimes it simply hangs. To fix this, I have to perform an installation on the command line and disabled streamed installation:

adb install -r -t --no-streaming app-debug.apk

Is there a way to force the option "--no-streaming" in Android Studio? The only related option I can find is the "Install Flags" in the "Run/Debug Configuration", but the hint text for this says "Options to 'pm install' command", and this suggests that this is only used if non-streaming is used (i.e. push to temporary file on device, then use pm install on the device).

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have 4gb of data. It says I've used 20.9gb!!! Factory reset 3 weeks ago!!! WTF is going on?

I have a galaxy s9 with straight talk service the phone from verizon. Now I know that it ain't right that I have 4 GB of data allowed each month but it says I've used 20gb in 3 weeks n I just factory reset 3 weeks ago. So what is it? Virus? Spyware?

I am posting this request here as it is not clear to me if this is a device-related problem (I have a Samsung S 10 plus) or a current Android problem. So please bear with me.

After setting up my S10+, I noticed that Chrome does not import my bookmarks (and everything else) from my Google account. I tried everything I could think of: deactivate synchronization, and activating it again, deleting the account and connecting again - nothing helped.

Is this a known problem? Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Ok..normally I don't ask questions..I'm not saying I know every thing..I'm far from that..I just majority of the times wait for some one else to read my mind..lol..and it happens!!

But in my issue..I haven't come across to the answer of my ordeal out there just yet..

My problem is, and it's became very annoying to me already..in my Note4 the feature of ''open just once'' or ''always''..the fabulous and stupid developer of the firmware he left it out..now, the phone doesn't give that option any more and takes the decision for me..HATE THAT!!!..I already tried so many things..even bricked it once or twice..and still not solve to my issue..

So i was hoping a developer can give me some light..I figured I think it can be changed in the BUILD PROP..

Most people complain that those tweeks to the build prop don't work..well I have had a totally different experience..that's why my aim is in that direction..

So i updated my phone automatically yesterday from the latest update, after it was done, i haven't been able to access my phone in anyway, it keeps on looping samsung logo and a window that says "This phone's bootloader is unlocked´and its software integrity can't be verified" and so on, ive tried to enter either Download mode and recovery mode, but none of the methods seems to have an affect on the phone at all, please help, thanks

So I'm not sure how long this has been happening but my phone has been compromised. It has a root folder installed and I can't access it. There's several programs installed that track/edit and control my phone remotely. There's an something in my Google accounts at the bottom under 'Developer' called 'Firebase indexing app' or something. There's a Sim tool app that's blocked locked my sim card, my screen has a lock on it I've tried many firmware/anti virus/ malware protection, have a firewall. And can somewhat use.my phone now. Any ideas? I have screen shots of some things I've found. During my efforts of trying to fix it.
