Help Cannot mount /data in twrp

The first problem that I encountered was when Messenger started crashing after opening non-facebook links. Then I noticed that Gmail kept crashing a couple seconds after opening. I tried to clear Android AppView cache, data, Gmail's cache, app data, uninstalling updates but the problems were left unfixed.
I found a post suggesting wiping data partition, but that couldn't be done. I tried to repair /data, unfortunately I got error 8. Is it possible that I didn't root my phone correctly? If yes, should I try flashing again?

How to fix ConstraintLayout inside ScrollView is not scolling?

Hello,

My App contains many buttons, which are shown under each other, two per row. I generate the buttons dynamically via Java, which are them shown in the ConstraintLayout.

I have tried several layouts beside the ConstraintLayout, the TableView scrolling worked, however the button are not in the correct place then.

Hello, I'm a long time Roku user. After some coaxing from a friend I bought a Toshiba Fire TV on prime day(July 2019). In the shorts time I've had it I've had to reset to factory settings, and a lot of buffering. I never had as many problems with roku as I have with this TV. Someone please explain, or direct me to a site that could, to me is this android TV? What's side loading? My friend is no longer available after he walked me thru the factory reset. Do I need to treat it like android (cache cleaner, virus scan, ram boost etc..) if so, what's the best apps for it? Preferably free? I feel so lost with this TV. Everyday I debate on sending it back, but I got such a great deal on it and the money I would get back I wouldn't be able to buy a standard TV with. I'm feeling stuck, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

New samsung Galaxy (after owning 5 Samsung Tablets) forced me.. it felt like... to open a Samsung account! Never did that before. I gave up, created acct., put in my pay info for Samsung 'store'... which I only do for Google, Amazon. After I created account, read all the terms of use, EULA info. etc. Etc...you guessed it-- ALL is Samsung now.
Y'all.. I had to buy something for new ' Oculus Go'... because other devices too expensive. Even all Smart phones. I saved 128.00 by this purchase.This model is a 2019 SM-T380. On sale: 165.00.
So! I have read how everyone is getting ambushed too--w/ following bs. It has 3 competing software.. that just TAKE OVER my Google set up. I know Or I hope.. can get on hard drive and delete Samsung account, yada yada. BUT... I have feeling this will be punitive!! IF I DELETE SAMSUNG acct.. I cant use any of their info... isnt that their loss.. throwing away baby with the bath water? HELP!!! Going to bed finally.. maybe I can get some responses from this diatribe on my otherwise beautiful device? Katie

GPS Issue

I have an Honor 7x Android. Phone is fairly new but GPS started not working properly. Any map I load with driving directions the GPS constantly jumps around, freezes, tries to reload but doesn't recognize my actual location. I've installed Gps Status and GPS essentials but doesn't fix anything. This will happen on any map I use. Any advice?

Help My Korean SK Telecom S9+ missing features

I bought a Korean-issued Samsung S9 Plus on eBay, SK Telecom, and was looking at some YouTube videos about tips and tricks, and noticed that I couldn't do certain things. For one thing there's no option to shoot in raw and jpeg at the same time. Are these limitations that some foreign versions appear to have something that one can correct? Would you have to root the device? Also, The Colonel on this Korean phone has a lower version number then on a different S9 I have from an American Carrier. However the software is being reported asView attachment 144130 completely updated. Is this something that should bother me? Thanks in advance.

App Selection

When you 'click' a type of file, Android has a setting which determines which app to call (for that particular file type). Better Open With, Default App Manager, and other apps attempt to control this, but where are the actual settings and can I see/modify myself?

I've looked in Settings&gt;apps&gt;default apps but this doesn't allow me to change (clear defaults doesn't really help).

POPUP WARNING

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, version 8.0.0, Oreo. Have the latest update. I keep getting a popup warning ever so often that I've never had happen before, (see image). I've cleared temp files, restarted phone several times, and more, etc. I haven't installed any new apps. Does anyone know what this process does, why I'm getting the warning, and how I can remedy the problem.

Cool things to do with ADW Launcher 2

Since switching from ADW Launcher 1 EX to ADW Launcher 2 (both are paid versions) recently, I've spent a lot of time exploring, and experimenting with, its features. There are many!

I'll post some; please feel free to add your own.

For my first example, this shows how you can organize/categorize your app drawer, using a menu to pick from:

Help Instable 3G connection

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with the 3G connection on my phone. I don't know if it's a software or an hardware problem.

So, I mainly use my 3G connection with wifi tethering (my laptop is connected to my phone hotspot). Regularly, I lose connection on my laptop. On firefox, the message in the status bar stays on "Looking for www.google.com" or "Connecting to www.google.com", for example. When that happens, the 3G connection on my phone appears to be still active, with the arrows indicating upload and download in the android status bar, but if I try to use the android browser, I have the same problem (the website is unreachable). I have to disable the data connection on my phone and then re-enable it so I can use it again.

I have another problem which is not my priority but may be linked to my main problem : sometimes (I don't know what determines that), if my phones battery is not charging, I lose wifi connection to my phone (when it's tethering).

My phone is quite old, but the battery still works fine, and my android is also an old one : 4.0.4. It's not rooted and it's not a custom rom.

If someone has an idea of where the problem could come from, It'd be great...

Turned off phone in middle of factory reset...

I turned off my phone in the middle of an accidental factory reset and now it only goes to the title "Samsung Galaxy S5" screen when I turn it back on, and it stays on this screen until it runs out of battery. I've tried holding the power button down for 30+ seconds and I've tried holding the volume down button for 45+ seconds. It can still go to safe mode which gives options of rebooting or factory resetting, but rebooting it only takes it to the same title screen. Under no circumstances do I want to factory set because I don't want to lose my data. I would like to know how to turn my phone back on without factory resetting, but if there is no way for me to get my phone back on without losing data, then does anyone here know how to retrieve automatically backed up data either via Samsung or Google? I never deliberately backed up my data but I've heard that it backs up on its own.

APX to App Bundle?

So, I am not a developer....

I wrote a basic calorie conversion tool in Visual Basic ages ago and today for some reason decided I would like this on my Samsung. So...I fired up MIT App Inventor (very cool) and successfully built a "mobile version" of my VB app.

I've exported the app as an APX and want to upload it to the Play Store. Gone through a number of steps and all good but when I upload my APX file and go to Review, it complains it is not optimised. I now have to use the Android App Bundle. So I download Android Studio....

So OK this is not for noobs. It likes my APX but I have not idea how to now "convert" this file into something Google Store will accept. If I import the APX it treats it as a "module" under Build menu. If I create a new project I have no idea how to import my APX into that project....

Can anyone give me some pointers please on what I need to do here? I just want to see my shitty app in the app store :)

Help with settings

There are two settings I would like to change.

For some mysterious reason when I ask "OK Google" for the current temperature it is now giving it to me in Fahrenheit. Up until today, it was always Celcius. Looking online it says I should select "Profile Editor" I either do not have one or it is hidden somewhere.

When I get an SMS Text it plays a sound. However, if the messaging app is open it remains silent. Can I have the sound activating whether the app is open or not?
