Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Is someone there that can get your phone since you have to leave for work????
 
I just got off the phone with CSR and must say she was extremely nice! I ordered online on 6/3 and she said it has not shipped and will ship in 1-2 business days. Sooooooo this leads me to waiting another weekend without the phone and possibly will not have it till tuesday or wednesday! Well I already waited 3 weeks... whats a couple more days.

Mine showed up as being purchased on 6/7. Guess what, no phone. If I don't get it by next thursday I will pick up a moto droid on my other line and return it when the dinc comes in. They can deal with selling a refurb obsolete moto droid after I have returned it.

And that is exactly why I refused to pay for it with a credit card or cash. I wanted it on my bill so that when I received my bill and didn't have a phone in hand I could refuse to pay it until it shipped.

Legally, I didn't think a company could charge you full price until the item shipped.

Hi I'm going to make the jump and order the phone today. Let me ask this, is the 30 day return policy from the date of order, date of shipment, or date of activation? Also, when I choose a new plan (currently on AT&T ugh) will the billing start when I receive the handset or at order time.

I know this is slightly off topic but it seems shipping related :D


EDIT: do you think it will really take until July 22 to ship it?

it SHOULD start on date of activation, and billing should also start when you receive the handset, since you're a new customer, it wouldn't make sense to charge you for a service you're not using at the moment until you receive the device...clarify/confirm with a customer service representative before you order

from the looks of it, july 22nd is likely
