"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

The "Start Your Engines" comment, couple with Texas Instruments being in Texas, leads me to believe it would be somewhere near Texas Motor Speedway??
 
I'm also thinking Texas Motor Speedway. I'm not too far from there. Might be wasting my time, but I'm going to go out there and see if I can find anything...

Look for a big X, or it might be under your feet...subway, underground walkway, or it might be 100 miles away...:confused:

Start your engines, warm climate, and X marks the spot. It's the only raceway south of Nebraska with an X in the name.

AND it's open to the public on Friday. Coincidence? I think not!

The only reason I'm posting this is because there's no way in hell I can get there any time soon, and I'd like to see if that's where it is, so I'd love to know if anyone finds it there.
 
This definitely is a weird promotion. So, if you happen to live in Texas you can drive over to the speedway and what then? just walk around hoping you happen to stumble on a droid phone out there? What happens if it rains or a heat wave hits? I wouldn't want a free Droid if it's been sitting out in the sun for a week.
 
Check it:

Verizon Wireless Cell Tower outside of the Texas Motor Speedway. Look at the bottom right of the picture next to the street sign. Sure looks like a box from the Droid X Unboxing just sitting there waiting for a happy camper to pick it up.

Yeah how did you get that pic? And if you were there and took it, you should've picked the damn thing up. Looks like an Oil Container to me but I wouldn't rule out giving a good inspection instead of just sayin, "Well that looks like the box, whatever..." and drive off?
 
That picture is off of Google Maps. Would be great if Verizon took a picture of where they put the droids and posted on google maps for folks to find, however, it says on the details that the picture was posted in October of 2009, so i highly doubt there has been a Droid X sitting out there since last October.
 
He is probably a rogue X employee giving us clues that was only his 3rd post some one needs to go there and check it out asap
 
It's a pic on google Maps, outside of the speedway to the west. I didn't know it was from Oct. 2009 though. I just thought it would be nifty if they used additional hints in google maps since it's a google phone. Apparently not if it's from October 2009!
 
Droid X designate #1 has been sighted in Nevada. Witnesses call it the greatest source of power next to the Hoover Dam.

Who is near the Hoover Dam? This is the most obvious clue yet!
