Why?
You missed the boat. You don't have it and Sprint pulled it already. Should be back up soon.
Look for the Software number, BTW. The updated version is 1.47.651.1. My baseband version reads 2.05.00.06.10 (upgraded).
Guess this means that theFroyo update will be a while.

I may be going crazy here, but my notification sound is louder than it used to be now...anyone confirm this? Otherwise I'll go get the straightjacket.
Sprint Pulls HTC Evo 4G Update (Phone Scoop)
HTC and Sprint have stopped distributing the OTA Evo 4G update after a handful of customers complained of "having some issues." Updates will resume shortly after the carrier investigates.
Am I going nuts or did the update change when the battery will turn yellow? It use to be 30%... but tonight, after the update, it didn't change until 20%.
The harware version is ver 3, the new batch of Evos.
My launch day Evo was version 2.
Yeah, mine is also Version 2. I wonder what changed with the hardware.
Shut your phone down and start it up again..then give it a full charge. After that, then make your judgements about the effect of the update on the battery.

My update went fine other than needing to delete and re-add my widgets. My problem is since the update I'm unable to pass traffic on WiFi. I can associate with the AP, authenticate, get an IP address via DHCP but no traffic passes through the network. I've deleted and recreated the credentials for the wireless network (WPA2-PSK) but that didn't help. Anybody else seeing this?
Update. When I set my AP to 'g' only, then the Evo connects and passes traffic. When the AP's radio is set to mixed mode which allows connections for 'b, g and n' clients, using the 2.4 GHz radio, traffic from the Evo does not pass.
