I agree with this guy. I don't think the two are related at all, if that's what you're saying.

BTW, does anyone find it an odd coincidence that VZW is giving away Navigator free for 30 days at the same time as this hunt is going on? Some people were talking about it being GPS coordinates, but I don't think VZW's version of nav can use coordinates to find things.

I'd be willing to bet it's Miami for #6. Miami is just a bit north from the Keys. Though I am wishing it was in Tampa. Much closer. :)

If it is found in Miami I'll be pissed to the point where I won't go with Verizon as a carrier. (currently T-mobile) Take it from someone who's lived in FL for over 19 years...Dropping a phone in Miami would be like dropping one in Beverly Hills, CA. If the other phones in the mid-west are being dropped in average to normal cities or even remote locations, it would piss me off if they pick the largest and richest city in one of the largest states east of the Mississippi river...Florida has one of the largest populations of any state (I believe we're in the top 5) and the population is centered mostly in Central Florida, because, love them or hate them, the theme parks employ maybe as much as 50% of the state's eligible, legal workers.

To me, it would be the same as EVERY other contest ever held in FL where it's either in Miami or Disney World. I'm sure my feelings are the same of anyone who lives in a place like New Jersey. (where the Super Bowl is being held by the way, the Meadowlands IS IN New Jersey..yet they are saying it's in New York...)

Any Florida native knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about with this.

And, if there's one in Florida, it has nothing to do with Six Flags....there are none of those in Florida.

It looks like Six Flags sold that park though in 2004.

Ohio amusement parks- Theme parks and amusement parks in Ohio travel

"Six Flags sold the property to Cedar Fair in 2004. Cedar Fair closed the marine life park and reverted to the park's original name, Geauga Lake"

Here's another link with more info about that park:
Geauga Lake- Overview of Ohio theme park in Aurora. Used to be known as SeaWorld Ohio and Six Flags World of Adventure.

Geauga Lake closed in 2007...

Honestly though, I would find it hard to believe that they would put it in any Ohio city other than Columbus... I think people are putting too much stock in the "Amber waves of grain/hdmi" thing. Ohio is a pretty big farming state (like #7 in corn production) and they might have just been playing on the view of Ohio being an agricultural state.

Dunno, just doesn't seem that they would put one in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton or Toledo...

If it lands in Tampa it will be me and you mono e mono!

I agree completely.

Jason - Columbus, Ohio

^_^ It's a challenge I'd be honored to be a part of. Sadly, if you actually live in Tampa you might beat me. I'm about a 50 minute...err...well, if a 'good clue' was dropped I might be able to make it to Tampa in about 30 minutes. ^_^;;; You know how I-4's speed limit is more of a suggestion than anything. lol

However, please do stay out of my car's way as I would be driving like a crazy tourist to find it. ^_~

And, to give anyone who doesn't know how large Florida is, an idea of what I mean: I live in Kissimmee which is in Central Florida and it's about a 4.5 to 5 hour drive for me to get to Miami...That's driving about 75mph and using a SunPass to pay for tolls so I don't have to stop.

Oh, I most definitely agree. I would be upset that it's in Miami as well. Like you said, it's Florida's version of Beverly Hills. But Start in the keys and move upwards does seem to imply that. I would definitely prefer Tampa or Orlando.

I lived in NJ for pretty much all my life till I moved till NY. And only about 15 min from Meadowlands. I mean New York City is actually closer to New Jersey than New York State. It really doesn't bother me at all, it is a bit weird that the Nets USED to play in the Izod Center, and right next door was Giants Stadium and they were called the New York Jets/Giants vs. New Jersey Nets. It doesn't really bother me, as long as we have the NAME New York we get money and players. Plus, I didn't have to make the trip across the Lincoln/Holland. Hopefully LBJ comes to NJN, still a diehard Nets fan.

The Orlando area is the heart of Florida. Anyone would have to agree. Miami is full of people who got rich in other states and moved here. Central Florida (thanks to WDW and USF) generates the tax revenue for the entire state. (gotta love 'tourist tax' and 'hotel tax.') Central Florida does for our state's budget what Las Vegas does for Nevada's.

And, 192 would be a perfect road to do it on. It goes from Polk county (Hwy 27) in the west, all the way to Cocoa Beach on the east coast...with a billion stores along the way...including many road-side booths and vendors and even at least 10 cell stores in just the Kissimmee area (about a 6 mile stretch). lol

Or they could possibly drop it around the Space Coast. Not that close to me, but let's face it...Obama has killed the jobs out there with the NASA budget cuts and if they got close to the KSC...there'd be so many cool places to hide it. They could even put it on a full sized replica of a space shuttle! ^_~ Not some cheesy Cuban restaurant in Miami...... >.>

Well, it would annoy me. lol ^_^ I'd feel snubbed if everyone lied about the location of something in my home state, just because it "sounded better." If you think about it from a tourist perspective, the fact that NJ allows that to happen crushes their possible tax revenue. Instead, it seems NJ is happy with perception that the only thing there is a bad smell, many oil refineries, and the old, retired members of the mafia. lol I'm surprised NJ doesn't try to turn it's reputation around. I guess there's no tourism board in NJ. lol

And, to show off my ignorance of basketball...when I see "LBJ" I can only think of the former president...not any basketball player or anything. lol Possibly Larry Bird '?' but I know he stopped playing basketball when I was still in Jr. High/maybe even still elementary school. lol

LBJ = Lebron James

Please, SOMEBODY get him out of Ohio... I'm sick of him...

Hey everyone! I'm having my own contest! Somewhere in the USA I've hidden a diamond worth over $50 million US Dollars....Here's the 3 hints I'll give to everyone.

1) It's in the USA.
2) It's in a place that diamonds love to vacation in.
3) It's wherever I dropped it off last week, unless someone's found it already.

Everyone should get what I mean...these F'ing clues suck! It's not like they're giving away $50,000 cars...they're giving away 12 phones with a retail price of only $200 and if they're made the way iPhones are made in Taiwan....each phone only costs Verizon a few dollars each. They could afford a bigger promotion than this. At this rate, I'd rather buy an iPhone. At least Stevey boy rips you off to your face and doesn't play games with his customers like this crap....

I see this contest back-firing against Verizon if they keep it going like this.
