Can't - I know its horrible but she has this thing with electronics that I'm scared to have her touch it. She's the first to admit she has 'magic fingers' and not in a good way!!!

ooh...better not to chance it then...I seem to be having the same magic finger syndrome! i just hope it ends when my incredible gets here....5 moto droids broke in 30 days. Don't ask me how, they just don't function. i have been on the bad phone streak for a minute....

I have been following/contributing to two other forums for quite some time and recently found this one. From what I've read in the last few pages you guys seem more my type. Anyway, I'm a 6/8 order that has been given ship-by dates of 6/28, 6/30, 7/1, and 7/9. I have called VZ CS three or four times only to be disappointed and frustrated and I dial *611 in my effin' sleep just to see if the message has changed. For the love of God, all I want is to get my phone before the long holiday weekend.... Is that so much to ask?

LOL! hubby is going to the X and they offered it to me as well...but i think im going to stick with my long lost inc...I held an evo in my hand last night at walmart and it was totally bigger than my hand, so motorola x in my hand= dropped and smashed into pieces...(wasn't thinking about the EVO, just wanted to estimate size in comparison with the x. I haven't even touched an Incredible yet! Only on the computer screen..lol)

Deep breaths....in and out, slowly. Your notification will come. I'll take a pic tonight as I'm unboxing. The funny thing is that I will use my sh*tty blackberry to do it since my regular camera gives me pics that are giant and won't post to the threads.
Now that does draw wind sharply!!! Gosh Nova that's a tough call. A phone in the hand is worth two in the bush. I personally like the Dinc over the X because I'm a pocket carry sorta guy but the phones are similar and if one is to give one an edge it might be the X is just a bit better with it's battery etc. I'm sure sorry you've been waiting on the stew to boil when the pan was empty the entire time. Bummer bummer

Well it was, in fact, a mistake to hope that it would show early but it did show today (6/29 @ 12:08 PM) as estimated. In my hands one day later than the going promise is not all that bad I guess.
I worked from home today to avoid it being bounced around through the multiple delivery attempt cluster f&$k process.
Charging now. probably not going to wait the full 8 hours but will let it full charge for sure. I plan on burning through the battery tonight and will give it the 8-hour charge overnight.

Does that buy me someting special.. like a real delivery date or something even better? Wait.. there is nothing better.

Well, I have been lurking here since the 6th and it sure has been quite amusing and entertaining. Congrats to those whom have received their Dincs!
I started calling #611 this past Friday the 25th just to see whether my phone was one of the lucky ones to escape the island (Lost reference for those who don't get it). I was greated by a very polite fellow who insisted that my phone was still scheduled to be shipped on Monday, the 28th.
I called again, yesterday the 28th around 2:00 pm and spoke with another polite CSR person who told me that she did not see where my phone had been shipped yet but she told me that when she got a tracking number she would text me. LOL... like I was actually going to get a text from her.
So, I just off the phone with CSR TAMIKA
who informed me that my phone hadn't been shipped yet and that she couldn't tell me when it might ship. I proceeded to use all the useful information that I got from this message board to see whether I could get some kind of reimbursement for my wait. She said that I should call my local Verizon store to see if they could give me more information about my shipment. I broke out into a very loud laugh and she asked what was so funny. 
I said you are because they have access to the same info that you just told me and all you want me to do is get off the phone with you. All you did was pass the buck. What kind of CSR are you? She put me on hold and came back on about 15 minutes later. Told me that she just spoke with her supervisor and if I wanted to cancel my order I could get the new Moto X that will be coming out mid-July! I again laughed and said that if I wanted to wait that long why would I have ordered the phone back on June 6th? Well, she said "we don't make the phones so if you want to call HTC I can give you their phone number". Look Tamika, all i want is a date that my phone might ship. If you don't know, then tell me you don't know! Don't try and get me to buy another phone so I have to wait another 2-3 weeks!
She asked me, well what would you like me to do for you? I said, "GET MY PHONE SHIPPED OUT! I thought I was pretty clear on that issue." 
Actually at this point I was just having fun with her just to see how she reacted! She told me that since they "Just started taking orders for the Dinc on June 5th, and with me ordering it on the 2nd day, June 6th I would think you should be getting it soon". I asked her, 
"So they just started to sell this phone on June 5th, boy I was lucky I got my order in so early. I pitty those who are ordering right now!" FYI, Tamika, this phone has been available for a few months I believe, so I think you need to get more information before you make yourself look more stupid than you already sound. Actually, Tamika, you are worthless to me so I think I am going to call back and speak with someone who won't BS me!"
Her reply, "Thanks for calling Verizon!"
I would be embarrased to have people like this be my CSR! So, in the end what information did I get, not a whole heck of alot other that I could cancel and wait for the X! LOL

I have the same order and ship by date, but I have over night shipping. I'm thinking the phone won't be there when I get home though.

Yeah it is a tough call, this will be my first smart phone and I was just wondering like what is so great about HTC sense and also do the phone have all the same apps?

Baby - congrats on the delivery! When did you order again???? Also, would it be great to take on last picture with you blackberry....a picture of the Dinc that is. Then bury that dinosaur and never look back! For me, I don't even have a camera on my 8830. It will be skipped across the lake sometime during the 4th of July weekend. I'll try and record it for all of you BB users who are swithching.
And for good note, I'm still waiting on my 6/4 order.
