This is how I see it's going to happen -
- @Droidlanding will keep releasing completely useless clues that only let on to what state each numbered Droid resides. Or even more useless tweets that reference the fact that there were phones hidden somewhere...
- Sometime during this week, @Droidlanding will somehow release GPS coordinates/direct location names to the exact spot where these phones will be. This isn't a grand production ARG. This is going to be real simple. Cut and dry. It will be in a store where you can walk up and ask for it. It will NOT be in a van or laying outside in a ditch next to the town bum.
You can keep trying to look deeper into the meanings of each tweet and rearrange letters if you want (at least, it's fun to read people doing it), but believe me - this is going to be completely straight forward when the time comes for them to be "released." I've been through enough ARG's (one where I worked with the company that implemented an ARG), so I know exactly how they think.
I'd really like for them to throw a curve ball and prove me COMPLETELY wrong, but at this point and time, I'm going to wait patiently until they release the coordinates or some sort of easy puzzle that leads to the exact building where they are located, and I will drive there to try and pick it up.
About the "locations argument" :
ARG marketing:
Besides being a game, this is ALSO a ploy to sell the phone and inspire "word of mouth." In trying to appeal to the masses, it makes sense that they drop off the phones in well-known, large cities where Verizon would want the most hype about it, right? That's what's going on here.
