Ok... I have an un-Rommed Droid (and have neither the expertise or interest in doing it) and have seen several posts giving up the FROYO now. Is it something I can do ota or is this not the 'official' version.

If not..anyone know when we will be getting this?

You have to be rooted to get one of these Froyo ROMs. There is no "official" OTA just yet. These are based upon the official leak of the Droid Froyo release that will be coming, but can only be put on your phone if you're rooted. The latest report is that the Droid will be getting Froyo in late July, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

you have to be rooted to get Froyo at this point. Motorola said Droids will have Froyo by end of July.
