***Official "I will have my Droid X in my hands at such and such date" thread***

I was able to work out a deal with someone that got a Droid X at one of the release events in NYC. I'm trading my 14 day old Droid Incredible and a little cash for the NIB Droid X. It was shipped FedEx overnight and will be delivered before 11AM. Now I just need to find a case of some kind.

Edit: Feel free to ask questions if you'd like. Keep the "cool story bro" pics coming, google has some good ones....

To be honest i doubt most of these people are jealous and you did set yourself up for this one. Nobody cares too much that you will get your phone a few weeks before the others, no need for a post about it to be honest!

It doesn't bother me a bit. Someone else posted they were getting one on Monday(6/28) so I didn't see a problem with saying I'll have one tomorrow.

what29,

First I want to say thanks for giving us sort of a "blue collar" review of the X. Your comments give me a feel for what the average Joe is gonna think about the phone.

You posted earlier that the X seemed a big laggy. I believe you said it was running at like 90%-93%. Biggest thing for me ina smartphone is the speed and how fast I can navigate through the phone. I currently own a Dinc. Does it compare to the speed of that or does it have more pep?

Also, I am just going to assume as soon as the X gets 2.2, any lag problems that remain will be put to rest thanks to JIT.

There should be a setting on the x to make it "discoverable" while in bluetooth mode. Then it should stay paired and re-pair when you get back in your vehicle.

Not necessarily concerning JIT. Alot of us are running Froyo, me on the Droid. The stock launcher with Froyo, even with JIT is kinda slowish, its no match for Launcher Pro or ADW.

The Need for Speed clip, the guy using the X installed Launcher Pro on it, u can see it the last 2 seconds of the clip.

We just have to accept the fact that Sense UI makes for very smooth home screen screen scrolling. lol I'm not saying Moto cant speed it up if it is laggy, but that just shows HTC did something good with Sense UI.

If all these other front ends/UI can run smoother than whatever Moto uses then it's obviously a software thing. Question is will they fix it or do they think it's good enough?

For the guy that says its #1 to him to be able to get around the phone fast: I would say the new buttons that let you move between screens look real nice to me.. I hate having to flip 5 screens it takes forever. I'll probably use them exclusively to move around.
