Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Don't know if this means anything but I refreshed this page and your post came up. :D

Sorry...couldn't resist that. Must have been that shipping notification making me all crazy.
 
Congrats to everyone who received phones and shipping notices today! My Dinc arrived at 1:30pm. I love it! I am lucky there are no problems. Stopped in VZW store, several people returning theirs. I couldn't hear why but I know one definitely had problems. Happy 4th everyone.
 
Called Verizon just to check on my order.

He said that my order was affected by some delayed shipment from HTC so thats why I haven't received it yet(duh?).

Supposed to ship 7/9 still, but receive on 7/12 (even though i have received a phone from Verizon on a Saturday they said that its against the fedex contract? that's kinda bull.)

Then he offered if my phone wasn't here by July 15th. I could get the Droid X in exchange. They are really pushing this Droid X onto us Dinc people....

I have waited so long for a new phone. I have been using a Dare for 2 years now(got it when it came out). I then decided I was going to get a new phone. I was waiting on the Nexus One to come to Verizon. But I heard of this new phone.......the Dinc...I waiting. I was even tempted to preorder but funds ran short. My experience with Moto has never been that great...so im a little reluctant to switch over and i never have pre ordered a phone before. I like to see reviews(hence why im in this mess as well).
 
You know its a shame that some are having issues with there phones, especially after waiting so long for it. But its interesting that if you go to the iphone forums you'll see that even some of them have gotten phones that don't work properly either. HTC as well as Apple make good products and you are always going to have some that will have a problem with their phones. I say this only to assure the rest of us that we will be receiving a good product and hopefully we don't have issues with ours. For those that have had problems with theirs I sympathise.

Hang in there. From what everyone is saying the wait is worth it. Plus, shipping has accelerated the past few days.
 
Seeing these recent confirmations is awesome. Hard to believe my number is about to be called. I can't imagine all those with 6/2X or 6/3X dates.

Yes a St. Louis order! I ordered 6/10 over the phone with overnight so im thinking ill have mine the 7th!:)

Do you know the steps that go with checking on fedex to see if they sent out the pkg yet? I called verizon and got my order# Thks
 
Ordered 6/7, received today 7/2. Never got a shipping notification, though I was assuming a delivery sometime next week.

For anyone who was told they would receive a $25 giftcard, did it come with your phone? There was no card in my box, so I'm hoping it will be sent separately.

Phone is charging, hope it works when I turn it on!
 
So some people have asked about the $100 rebate, since it expires soon. They will actually extend it until September 2nd, since people will probably receive the phone after the current expiration date.
 
gave in, called *611, the CSR said will ship by the 8th. not sure why i bothered, b/c i still have no idea. told my fiance the same about his, also told him they can't send him a shipping notification via email since he ordered in store? MY CSR told me i WOULD get an email... and we both gave our email addresses when placing the order. oh well, just another example of how they know absolutely nothing. still hoping it gets shipped early next week!
 
You know 2010 ZR1, it's going to be extremely quite in here this weekend. Do you think we stand a chance of surviving without the steady flow of shipping notices and deliver announcements to steady our nerves?
 
I doubt it, so I say we kick off the music game for the weekend. It is off topic though.
 
Easy to play, everyone can do it. The rules are simple:

Post the title of a song, and the artist. It must contain 1 word that the previous post (song title) contained. Song titles count, artist names don't.

Example:

Post 1. Rock The Casbah - The Clash

Post 2. Like A Rock - Bob Seger

Post 3. Walk Like A Man - Grand Funk Railroad

Post 4. It's A Man's World - James Brown

Post 5. A World OF Fantasy - Triumph

Etc etc. Easy, right. Generally words like it, and, the, of, don't count, but sometimes that is all you can work with, so be it. Try to refrain from using one-word titles, like Guilty - Gravity Kills, because it really puts a crimp on the next guy. Let's see how this plays out.

Any type or genre of music is cool, and I promise not to laugh at your musical tastes. I'll start with a long title, so it shouldn't be a problem finding the next tune to go with it.

Took it to the store and had it activated right away. Charged. Have started playing now -- it is a pretty amazing device! No obvious glitches with anything yet...

Now you get to change your "devices" to a real incredible. I played with one in the store today, and they are really skinny, thickness is fine though.
