"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

football came to my mind, bc you throw the ball way more than in baseball to someone receiving...just my 2 cents but I'm hoping it's in Charlotte!

Actually, I'd think the ball is thrown more in baseball than it is in football. Plus, in football, you're throwing it more to somebody rather than at them.

quick, before anyone else realizes, maybe it is located where they filmed dodgeball, lmao, you either catch the ball or get hit in the face, hahah, just joking. it could be any one of these top 50 The Largest 50 Metropolitan Areas and their Major Constituent Cities

but I still want to say charlotte...

It's a really interesting idea, but the California locations don't seem to fit very well (however, that doesn't say anything for the others).

None of them are at higher altitude. I liked the Ames Research Center, but that doesn't seem to fit. I have a close friend that works at JPL, and I told him this morning to tell me if he saw anything having to do with cell phones, Verizon, Google, or Moto. And I don't know many people that would drive out to Edwards AFB for a phone. :-/

I still think the griffoth observatory fits. Its inland but not too much and its at a higher altitude

I like the location, and I like the idea that the Droids are looking for ways to get back to somewhere in space. There are quite a few tourists that go there, so I imagine it's not just lying on the ground. I'll go look if that gets a bit more concrete. It closes at 10PM PST.

I am going to check the eye in Pritzker Park, but I highly doubt it will yield anything since it seems they have only recently brought it into the area...

And on the space center list, there's no way they would put one at Stennis. That is in the middle of BFE. But I do think the reasoning for some of the other centers is pretty sound.

In Empire State of Mind, Jay-Z says, "Catch me at the X with OG at a Yankee game." Is that a nickname for Yankee Stadium? Or a club? Or something?

Edit: The X is apparently the Bronx. $600 phone in the Bronx, anybody?

Central park seems to be the obvious choice for NYC. No way they are stupid enough to put a suspicious package somewhere close to buildings.

Umm...just spitballing, but Hunts Point is in the South Bronx (to go with the "hunt" thread, and Hunts Point is also just across the water from Laguardia Airport, as in "Northeasters: buy your plane tickets."

now way im gonna grab a package in a park and open it either lol

Hopefully Verizon is smart enough to hide them well enough so some stranger doesn't just walk by and get a new phone. Gotta be another clue or something to lead you to the exact spot. A Droid eye or something. I will be really pissed to find out they all were found by completely random people. Hopefully however many are out there are found by the 13,300 following @droidlanding.
