Side by side the screen was so much better on the Epic, it is hard to put into words. Otherwise I did not like it at all compared to the Evo. But the software was not a final build. Haptic feedback on a few of the hardware keys was cool.

I'm sticking with the Evo. I had the HTC Touch Pro and while the keyboard was okay, it made the phone quite thick and there were always weird glitches when opening the keyboard and the screen switched to landscape.

What I do wish the Evo has was that processor. It's 45nm as opposes 65 on the Evo (i think) which will be much better on battery life at the same processor speed if not more speedy. And the phone also probably wont be frame rate limited like the Evo and won't be bogged down by Sense.

Bottom line is I like the slate feel of my Evo. I'm satisfied with it, and once 2.2 comes out I won't even care about the Epic. I'm sure engadget will do a comparison soon and I am curious if the camera or 720p video recording looks any better. Basically the only thing interesting me as far as that phone for a is the screen and processor, but not enough to want to switch to it. It's not a big enough improvement over the Evo and new Android phones are, and are going to be coming out like crazy always and they will all be a little bit better everytime. Next time I upgrade to a new phone it'll probably have a 2ghz+ processor with Android 3.0+...

And also, my dad has a Samsung Moment on Sprint and it took his phone to get 2.1 after like 6 months or something so Idk about Samsung and their updates...

Yea it has a 45nm chip. Just wait, cuz the Super Duper Monster phones from Moto, HTC, Samsung, and whoever else will be coming out the end of the year, early next year. There's already a rumor that Verizon will start rolling out 4G/LTE and will have some 4G/LTE phones for Black Friday. I'm sure Sprint will be ready, since they released the EVO already.

I have heard that about Samsung and updates too...

I still have my upgrade so I will have both phones. The epic for 30days to put it through it's paces. I think I will end up keeping the Evo though. I just wish we had that nice screen and the better 1ghz chip and gpu. oh well...

Well after 2 years of the G1 I'm over slide out keyboards for now. I don't care how much better it is for gaming, I have a psp for that.

Oh and my guess is there will be a EVO 4g Pro by years end.

personally I hate the physical keyboard...I'm not sure I think EVO has a bigger screen then Epic?...& once you start using big screens all other phones seem like crap in front of it....

I play games on my EVO all the time.... Assassin Creed, FIFA 2010, NOVA, & etc it runs good it could run more smoothly once the 30 FPS cap is lifted.

Read the comparisons between the Moment and the Hero, they were positioned to each other exactly like the EVO/EPIC.

EPIC is faster, more powerful, better GPU, physical keyboard and smaller screen. Better build quality most likely as well.

EVO has a bigger screen and may be a bit thinner.

If they EPIC did NOT have a physical keyboard, I would absolutely take it.

I'd go with an HTC product over Samsung for multiple reasons. #1 being I've had a few Samsungs, and I always like to think that sure, they'll get better.... but they never do.

#2 Look at the # of threads and posts in the Samsung Moment subforum vs the HTC Evo. There is a stronger user base following HTC. I'll stick with them, because if and when an issue surfaces, usually someone is already working on addressing it.

I don't know how Samsung is going to keep up with demand from releasing on all carriers. Hope those super amoled screens aren't tough to make.

They make the Super Amoled screens.....they should be fine...If they dont have a supply problem.....thats kinda messed up for the Incredible. I remember reading the new Samsungs phones have all parts made by Samsung. Might be a smart move by them.

Yea me and Samsung dont agree when it comes to reception....lol

Aside from the super AMOLED screen, the epic will also not have a 30 fps limitation, it will have 24 bit (16 milllion colors) vs evos 65k colors, and record with real 720p video because of the better codec

I've always like to have an option of a hardware keyboard. I love everyhardware specs of the Samsung, but I don't like how Samsung treat's there customers. I would think twice before I buy a samsung phone.

Going to get an Epic for my wife so she can have a keyboard. The moment is UGLY so waiting to switch he from T-mobile until this comes out.

I have Zero desire to have it. But should be fun to video call her till it gets old.
