I agree I was on the android central one and it really never got going. Seems to be better brainstorming here from the beginning.

Heh, if I find out anything about #5 I'm holding those cards close to the chest until I have a chance to check it out for myself![]()
Did anyone try the Verizon store on Lombard St in San Francisco? Google says there is one there...
Yeah, I have a few ideas for #12 (the Cleveland one), but I would hate to drive out there (from Pittsburgh), just to be disappointed...![]()
Just got back from Huntsville, Alabama. Passed a police car there and on his tag on the rear it said "Heart of Dixie". Had fun at the US Space and Rocket Center. Saw the Star Wars exhibit. The Saturn V rocket is HUGE, bigger than the Empire State Building. Found nothing there. Checked both Verizon stores that show up on google, they are both corporate, neither had heard of the promotion. Drove by a Verizon call center that shows up on google, was not anywhere obvious there, they have security there. Did not think about asking at lost and found at the space center.
If anyone is near or will be near Huntsville, you should go see the Star Wars exhibit. It will be there until September 6.
I also checked Best Buy in Huntsville due to one clue saying the Droid X had all the accessories it needed. Checked the phone section, the camera section and the TV section in case it was hooked up to a tv.
My wife had fun. Did not think it would be worth going back if we get another clue until I told her the $600 price tag. She will let me go back by myself if we get a better clue.
I did not go by Marshall Space Flight Center due to security, thought they might not let me leave if I went and started asking about missing droids.
Lol...the tms has been searched by others. I searched cowboys stadium and the verizon theatre myself. My wife thinks I'm crazy but I'm going to keep looking. I will say that I do believe that 5 is in the DFW area. When people think texas most think of dallas before houston or austin. In fact while in the army had a lot of people think that dallas was the capital. Go figure
not sure if this has been mentioned yet but has anyone noticed that since July 1st they've been giving out one more clue each day (1st = 3 clues, 2nd = 4 clues, 3rd = 5 clues) so their should be one more today. That also means that this hunt should pick up big time this week. It HAS to go down this week. I just can't see them doing all this to give out the phones 1 or 2 days early. I think that would just piss people off. Thats my 2 cents for today.
I bet it was a blast. I wish there was one around here so I can go looking. I might get into Geocaching after this. Hopefully its just as fun.
@mahers did you see anybody else looking for it? Twitter had a few comments to Droidlanding say they were walking up and down Lombard St.
I did some research on the green arrow that was on Google maps when you looked for Lombard street. According to googlified its a new icon for when you search an address. (The Green Arrow - Googlified) I've tried to duplicate it with different addresses and I cannot get another green arrow.
I was able to duplicate it by right-clicking on the map and choosing 'What's Here'. It would show the coordinates in the search history on the left.
The value of the search becomes less and less as the release date approaches. I'm sure for most of us the $200 is not the big deal. The cool part is having it in hand early.

Shoot, I was going to check out Cowboy Stadium and the Ballpark when I visit my friend later this week.. TMS was one of my spots to check before the weather pissed on me.
One place I did get to check out was the VZW Corporate headquarters off 121 and 35, and there was a bus with VZW stuff (can you hear me now guy) all over it, but no Droid X ads. Nothing else that stood out. I'm going to wait for the next clue before I do any real footwork.
For me, it is the $600 and having it in hand early
Really I am perfectly happy with my Droid and can't justify spending the money to upgrade until something like the Droid Pro comes out.
Looks like they have a Droid...
