"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Ok, so I was probably the 1,000,000 person to do this, but I looked at old tweets from @droidlanding...Here is my 2cents:

"REPORT: Keep an eye out for the Droid X in the wild. With a 4.3” screen it can keep a pretty big eye on you."

"What would you do if you came eye to eye with Droid X? Reply."

Now I know that the EYE is a big marketing thing for the droid, but it appears that they are really pushing the EYE as a way to find it. Confirming the theory that we need to look for an eye or something dealing with eyes.

Another thing:

"The enhanced vision of Droid X would be the perfect tool to help you find one. Ironic."

I think we are all in agreement that it would not be right to require you to have a Droid to find a Droid...but what if this is referring to the tools in the droid we are looking for helping us to find it.

One last one:

"Droid X designate #8 doesn’t wish it was in Dixie. Or connect in hdmi. Because it’s already both."

To me this would confirm our theory that it is connected by HDMI to something since it says "it's already both" meaning it is connected to hdmi. Assuming the tweeter is a complete idiot and left of the ED on connect. :-)

^ this sounds crazy but with the "EYE" clue, is it possible that it could be at or near eyeglass store. Maybe like a LensCrafters or maybe Sunglass Hut for sunglasses? Just a guess.

anybody look into underground mines that are popular for the surfacing clue with no water?

elevators or something where the phone is coming up from below?

So layar only shows results up to 5km so you have to be decently close IF we can even use layar lol

Not correct actually, i have posted instructions a few pages back. Simply download the app "location spoofer" to spoof your gps location. I used this for about an hour, works great. Also fyi this is not the bozo 1.5 gps spoofer app, let me know if you have trouble and i will help, nothing to it.

Droid X designate #14 is capturing a Northern Cardinal with an 8 megapixel camera.

St Louis??
In the United States, the Northern Cardinal is the mascot of a number of athletic teams. In professional sports, it is the mascot of the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball and the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. In college athletics, it is the mascot of many schools, including the University of Louisville, the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, Ball State University, Illinois State University, the Catholic University of America, Wesleyan University, Wheeling Jesuit University, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, North Idaho College and Saint John Fisher College. It is also the state bird of seven states, more than any other species: North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Virginia. It was also a candidate to become the state bird of Delaware, but lost to the Blue Hen of Delaware.

Doubt it's the Arizona Cardinals, but theres the list from wiki.

Does it have to be the most popular state bird...

When I just browsed the tweet without reading about taking a picture with 8MP camera I was thinking it was up north.

North Cardinal direction..

Awesome thanks for that

Went Geocaching to day with the Wife and she is hooked. So if one is in SC, NC, and maybe Richmond, VA, or Savannah GA. We are definitely searching for it. With these geocaches we found some really small containers and some decent size containers that were actually hidden really well. We found 3 today and only one had damage from the elements. Which was the "owners" fault. They were in peanut butter cans, little lock and store box, a plastic container that was 10" tall and 5" wide, and even a rubbermaid box. I was impressed!

Lesson learned today you can easily get a good watertight containers and hide them in public site. All 3 of the ones I found today were in public places that I go by daily. One was by a library, a college, and apartments. Even with the bomb scares you really can't rule that out.

Why not combine the clues for #14? Producing the direction North, a state with cows, and with State Bird (Cardinal) and Drink (Milk). North Carolina -not exactly midwest or Minnesota
