"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

I'm gonna guess it means nothing. If we think every little thing means something then we'll just be following a bunch of red herrings.

If the all caps means nothing, then the whole clue means nothing..

[Edit:] I know the twitter gives useless clues sometimes, but it is usually the marketing fluff clues. This one particular clue had no marketing, so it has to mean something, right?

who thinks that i should leave work to go look for it at the falls? lolol should i start in the u.s.a first state park?

I'm in western NY as well, and I don't think there is nearly enough data to go on. The clues do seem to point to the Buffalo/Niagara Falls vicinity, but that is a huge area to randomly search.

#13 needs to have at least as many clues as #3 before i even hop in the car.

Also, if there are 2 Droids in NY, one will definitely be in NYC, and the other within view of Canada (that rules out Albany)

Well, the clue only said it can almost see Canada. I think it was just narrowing it down to northern states. This latest clue narrowed it down to NY state only.

[Edit: Also, don't almost all of Stan Lee's comics take place in NYC?]

20?! Seriously.....if they plan on giving any of these away before the 15th, AND want us finding them by clues and not a mad dash GPS style....they'll have to step up the rate of thee clues dramatically before this weekend.

i am pretty sure the contest is not meant to be over before they get released on the 15th.

I think instead of being hidden at a store or a location, they are being carried around by the promotion employees. This means that they can easily be holding them, browsing the internet, texting, tweeting (!), or maybe watching video. So the clues that refer to "look at that" and what not can be referring to maybe someone holding them. Just a thought.

Are we just assuming they'll hoping for the 15th or did we get any more info?

Just in case: New Clue

Droid X designate #20 is

Thanks for the worthless tweet... I'm pretty sure everyone had assumed there would be at least 20 once you revealed there were at least 17... Now you waste a precious tweet on verifying that....................

Hot off the press! Droid found on Lombar St!

Corner of Lombar & Lyon

R2, Where are you? on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Ok, so not exactly what you expected? Well, technically I found a droid on Lombar ST and I do believe this may have something to do with it.

Check the Google Street View @ the corner of Lombar & Lyon in San Fran, notice it is blue now but there is a huge ugly green box next to it. Plus there is a park near by. Time for another trip?

Hidding them near the Droid mailboxes (or used to be droid boxes) is a Great idea! Possibly this is it? We'll see.

Go get it! ...maybe :)

Report back, shoot us some pictures as well. You never know what is not obvious now will be later with more clues.

Thanks!

The other day when those 2 guys were out there on Lombard, I said I was google mapping and the corner of Lyon looked like a good place to hide it and no one checked it out...hopefully it's there, lol...

if you didnt care, would you be on here posting?
I care about finding ones that already exist.

They say "We did it again" like they're doing us a huge favor by introducing more droid's to this 'game' but the original ones haven't even been found yet. There's ones they've introduced that don't have more than one clue, not to mention a whole number of them that haven't even been mentioned yet. between #1 and #20.

IMO adding more phones without giving information on ones that are already "in the wild" or without giving us any idea what we're looking for is just silly.

I hate to sound like a complainer, but I am getting really tired of not having more clues for #6! I am off today and tomorrow from work so I was hoping to do some real hunting, but here we are half way through my first day and the tweet simply says there is 20....

I am thinking this is some huge conspiracy, and this contest along with the clues are being done by a huge blood pressure medicine company. lol What if the backwards DroidLanding was placed in that eye on the commercial by some disgruntled employee who decided to plant an "Easter egg" to have some fun on his own. O_O
