lol Great idea. ^_~

How can you possibly say not Hawaii? "Droid X counts everything"

Hawaii = southernmost

I rest my case, and we should update the First post :)

#6: Possible location(s): Florida
-Droid X designate #6 is in the southernmost part of the country. Unless you count Hawaii. Droid X counts everything.
-Droid X designate #6 spotted! This one is pretty far south. Head for the keys then work your way up

That's how I rule out Hawaii.

That is why there is such a large thought in my head that this is not a giveway/contest at all. Since this involves multiple states, there are many, many laws about contests and promotions to consider. In most states giveaways/contests fall under the "gambling laws" and therefore have upper and lower prize value limits, winners MUST be verified for taxes (the gov WON'T look the other way on that one...), age requirements, and methods of entry that do not costs excessive fees or break any laws. Some sates even require a method of entry that costs no money or fee or travel if the contest is part of a promotion.

At least as far as Florida is concerned, my friends over at Clear Channel, in the promotions department, promise me Verizon would have to hide a legal disclaimer somewhere, like they do between 0400hrs and 0500hrs for the radio station's promotions.

The key is they don't have to make the disclaimer "in your face." It could be fine print pretty much anywhere on their corporate website (if this is a Verizon [proper] promotion. and pass FL laws. I'm unsure about other state's laws.

Unless you go to Motorola's twitter page... They are doing contests daily on the page and giving away free phones. No disclaimers or legal info:

 1. Name the Motorola mobile application that informs you about state Hands-Free laws?<- RT with answer by 11:59p 6/30 for a chance to win! 8:18 AM Jun 28th via TweetDeck

Droid X designate #17 is near the home of the world’s largest cement plant. Because Droid is built on strength and reliability.

Washington Group International (Nasdaq: WGII) today announced that Washington Group Alberici, its majority-owned joint venture with Alberici Constructors, has been awarded a contract to build one of the world's largest cement plants for Holcim (US) Inc., a major manufacturer and supplier of cement and mineral components in the United States.
Washington Group Alberici will provide procurement, construction management, and general contractor services for the main plant associated with the $905 million cement-manufacturing complex located in northern Ste. Genevieve County, Mo., approximately 55 miles south of St. Louis.

Ever since that story broke last night about the shipping Xs I've lost some motivation :(

Maybe a good clue about Georgia would help.

P.S. Please read this if you're the mole/Verizon/Motorola/DroidLanding. :p

Hey man, I felt the same way. All this effort and then some droid x just ships to some "lucky" guy(s)?

Well, keep up the good work... if you don't get a droid I'm sure you will be OP of the year :)

But, remember we assumed the "Keys" meant FL Keys. Assumption could be retracted now.

Droid X designate #6 is in the southernmost part of the country. Unless you count Hawaii. Droid X counts everything

When it says "Unless you count Hawaii", my interpretation is "not counting Hawaii". The "Droid X counts everything" is the general market fluff about how bada$s the droid X is and it can do anything and everything.

Ie: The southermost part of the United States is the Florida Keys, unless you count Hawaii. I can count to 1,000,000.

If #17 is near St. Louis that should push #16 towards the western half of the state (Kansas City).

Now that we can assume #17 is St.Louis, what does the previous post about "[..] can take anything you throw at it. Just like the people where it landed" mean?

#6 Hawaii

Droid X counts Everything - like counts Everyone - leaving no one out, ie Hawaii

Of course if it said Southernmost, that would be a nice clue too... "oh wait did we say southernmost"?

Little droid X pun for ya

Shoot me down if you need, but this is my conclusion for now.

Unless you go to Motorola's twitter page... They are doing contests daily on the page and giving away free phones. No disclaimers or legal info:

I know this isn't about the ones you posted, but see how they can legally 'hide' contest rules like this: Motorola: MotoMobile Twitter Lyric Trivia contest : OFFICIAL RULES | Facebook

That one was very easy to find with a quick google search...but I can't find anything after days of searching with google about a Verizon Droid X promotion. -_-|||

Logically that clue does not point to Hawaii. I also think people are reading too much into it by assuming they should look in the keys. Outside of Hawaii, all of "south Florida" can be considered the southernmost "part" or "area" of the country. It didn't say most southern "point".
