Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Oh, and I broke down and ordered the little Android keychain because I thought it was so cute! :p

I am still on the hunt for the perfect leather pouch and I need to get a spare battery charger. Then I think I will be all set!

I feel like I'm lacking in the accessories department compared to everyone else. The only things I have are a silicone hardcase and 3 screen protectors
 
I dont have anything yet. lol I ordered the innocase active yesterday, but its on backorder as well. surprise surprise...lol

I spoil my phones the way most people spoil their grandkids! Only the best for my baby. :D

The only thing I didn't have to buy is a car charger since the one from my Dare will work with the DINC.

Oh and a 4gb SD card lol forgot to mention that one. Looks like come payday I'll have to order some car chargers and other stuff though. I'll never save up for a computer at this rate >_>
 
Well..I now measure pathetic by my longing for a phone....

Ordered the Incredible on 6/17..was told the delivery date would be 7/21 (this date changed twice while I was ordering the phone)...Called 2 weeks later to verify the shipping date and was told that it would now be 7/31 or more likelily sometime in August....cancelled order that day.

MEANWHILE..

Ordered and recieved screen protector and flexi skin for Incredible. Cannot walk into kitchen without seeing that damned case with its cardboard image of a phone.

7/7..Called Verizon today and was told that if I ordered the Incredible, it would be in my hands by 8/02, which is ironically probably quicker than I would have gotten the phone originally.

I have obsessed over cars, guns and other things...never and I mean NEVER did I see myself going round and round for a freakin phone.

I just picked up my protectors and case today. Does it make me certifiably crazy if I'm holding the case with the cardboard cutout of a Dinc as if it were real? Just asking....hypothetically:o

Who needs a computer when you have the DINC?? ;)

My best advise to anyone buying accessories is to get what you want even if it costs a little more. I can't count the number of times my friends have gotten the "cheaper" case only to end up buying a nicer one later. Same with SD cards (getting an 8 instead of 16).

Just spend the $$ upfront and you'll be happy with it in the long run. I know the "best" isn't logical for everyone, but if it won't break the bank (as in, you have the money but are just trying to be cheap) I really recommend this approach.

What are you gonna do? Re order or go with a different phone? I can't believe they gave you different ship dates on the day you ordered, but it just seems par for the course lately.

I have to get a new screen protector! I tried Best Skins Ever and it totally took away from the look of the screen. Suddenly it wasn't crisp and clear anymore, it was kind of pixilated and I hated the way it looked. (*sigh*) Oh well, back to the accessories section...

That is crazy! I ordered in the store on 6/19 and was given an estimated ship of 7/16!! And so far, that hasn't been pushed back. Wonder why your's was so much longer?

The only time I have ever been this anxious for a shipment was with a gun! I ordered a Sig P226 (a limited edition one) and it was backordered for 3 weeks. When it finally arrived I told my boss that I wasn't feeling well and had to go home early. Then I drove strait to the range, picked up my gun and spent the next 2 hours shooting zombies :D

No it does not...because shamefully I've done the same thing on multipule occasions. Even slipped it into my pocket to get a rough idea as to how much room it would take up. The cardboad cutout is just taunting...

And I was thinking about shelling out the cash for a 16gb card, but at the same time, I hardly ever use up a bunch of memory. I think a 4 should last long enough for me to save up money for a 16gb card.

I hope mine arn't too bad. They are the verizon brand screen protectors so hopefully they don't take away too much. I mean, after having quite a few touch screen items I've come to terms with how much quality they take away.

One conversation I had with a CSR was about location. They informed me that I live in the midwest and not many orders came from there so they are not stocking the midwest warehouse because its first come first serve and if they sent mine before others they would have a riot on their hands. So I calmly stated that I believed they were excercising a form of discrimination based on where I live. I was given a $50 credit to my next bill....location is a BIG factor!

the steinhill cystal clear is the best for my money, 11 bucks for 2 of them and i can't even tell its on there, i'll see bout getting a pic for proof
 
I ordered from Amazon on 7/4, got a confirmation saying Estimated delivery date:July 28.
Today (July 7) I got another email saying that it shipped today, should have by July 9.

Amazon is same price as Verizon but I will have it a month sooner.

This will be my first smartphone so there will be a steep learning curve.
 
Nmayer can you get a pic of the steinhill screen protector for us, I for one would like to see what it looks like installed. Thanks
