If there aren't many MA players I might try and make it out to Plymouth if that's where it is. If there are more than 10 'players' in MA it's not worth it to drive an hour to get there just to lose

I find it very interesting all the different stories we have heard about the NYC find. First we were told (by the guy who got 2nd) that the ticket was on the railing and he was seconds behind.

The second person said the guy that found it worked nearby, saw the VZW people and just mingled over there and found the clue.

The third person (the finder) says he found it without the coords and brought the certificate to the VZW people at the end of the pier.

I'm not questioning anybody or trying to make enemies. Just an observation.

I may need some help for #8 (hopefully in Huntsville). I am an hour away and will be running with my wheelchair-bound son. (He hangs with me whatever I do...love that boy!) Anyway, I have an extremely unreliable GPS! May not get the opportunity to go for it, but it sure has been fun following this forum! I'm a real newbie to all of this!!!

I've been following the news on the Droid X in general, as I've been planning on switching over from the iphone/ATT to Droid/Verizon. However, I only found out about the droid landing twitter account this morning. I don't really tweet or follow tweets, but the contest info popped up during a google search. But yes, they do give you the physical phone on site. I have it here right now, but won't be able to activate it for another week or so when my contract expires...

Wait, they won't let you activate it until your contract is up??? My contract doesn't go up until february 2011...Should I even bother trying anymore or just wait until thursday and use my early upgrade?

I believe the same thing, I don't think Charlotte will be getting 1 unfortunately, but I live right in the middle of ATL and Charlotte, so IF either of them get 1 I'll be going that way if it's tmrw, sat or sun, otherwise I'm SOL.

they need to have one in Michigan the HOMES state (5 lakes that spells H-O-M-E-S) because of GM (Lansing area and the Capital of Michigan) the economy is bad and it's hard to have the cash to buy a new one on the 15th when it's available.

My reasoning is, who would create an account and name it Francypants if they just won the first Droid X that 18,000 people are trying to also win... just sayin.
