"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

The Huntsville one might not be a terribly long drive. It wouldn't be worth it to knock out the 2 yr upgrade price, but for the full retail price, it might be worth considering. Don't know why I am inviting more competition!

its 3.5 hours from my house.....i'm going to pass. i'll just wait for the next badass phone to come out later this year. should be able to extend in november so i'm sure a good one will be out for the holidays. i'm hoping for one with dual cameras!

Definitely seems that the original tweeter has been asked to move on. These tweets make a lot more sense, are better written, and seem to have more authority behind them.

BTW if you are officially on twitter and following only @droidlanding there is no need to manually refresh your twitter page every 10 seconds. Atleast I dont have to, and I am running Internet Explorer, so better browser should have this too.

I am using Tabbed browsing and one of my tabs is my own twitter home page.

Usually the tab label is "Twitter / Home"

but when a new post has appeared since I refreshed the page the tab label goes to

"Twitter / Home (1)"

where the 1 is replaced by how many new posts there are.

It is a great live tracker of new action so i only have to refresh when I know a new post has come.

anyone else figure this out yet? no on has posted it

true. if it's this weekend.....may have to consider! :) i like an adventure!
I got super lucky and my NE2 is up on the 13th so I can get it for $149. Sure free would be great, but running with my son, and not having GPS makes my chances pretty slim. I just hope I can get it in the store the morning of. I've never had the "it" thing the day it comes out so I'm super excited! I do hope some people on this forum get some of the phones. Why not you or me? It could happen! :)

Good luck, everyone. Hope this inspires you all...

Firefox does this too, but it's pretty random on when a tweet shows up where. I have received SMS tweets 5 minutes before it shows up on twitter, and sometimes haven't received the SMS at all. Twitter / Home seems to be the most reliable place to watch, and the ones that get deleted seem to stay there too.

Thinking about it some more, the pier didn't have any explicit connection to Verizon. Looking at the Boston clues, I wonder if it isn't going to be on the bridge in the park across the street. It would give them controlled access from two directions and a field of view for the people coming. That or the statue, for the same reasons. Thoughts?

I noticed it too, but I don't trust it :p

I think I can F5 faster than it.

exactly. Twitter/Home seems the most reliable to me too, and having it open in a tabbed window removes the need to constantly check the actual page for updates since the tab label supports live changes with new content

Eh, I'm out. No way I can get close to getting the one in DC considering I'm over an hour away. Good luck everyone!

ok, the BF is in richmond and has Monday off....i think i've convinced him to go to DC for the day. haha. except he'll keep the phone for himself.......oh well. i'll still get to play with it :)
