I figured this post needs at least one pic so here is my Droid X that I picked up on July 1. I'm using Launcher Pro rather than the stock UI.
i hate you, but i like your phone!!
just kidding. the only people i envy are those i have seen in buggatti veyrons and enzos.

The case is the Body Glove case that Verizon sells. I also have the high gloss black hard silicone case and the micro HDMI cable. I got it, indirectly, from someone who works in advertising for Motorola. He's on AT&T so it was useless to him.

I still can't believe VZW is charging $30 for that case...what a joke.

I got a 25% discount and it's actually a nice case. The plastic, that would usually come in contact with the phone, has a felt like lining on it and with the rubberized outside it's easy to grip and hold onto. The phone feels a lot more rugged and tough with the case.

Even at $23 I'm still not much of a fan. I mean it basically looks like a Nerf case, plus the cutouts for the ports look like it's been done in a sloppy fashion.
To each his own. I'm more jealous of the phone

The cutouts don't look as bad as they look in the pics. When it's in your hand you don't notice the slight flaws, you really have to hold it up close to notice them. Maybe I should have taken the pics from a little farther away...lol. The other thing I like about the case is how much of a ridge there is around the screen so when you lay it face down the screen isn't close to touching anything.

personally im going with the shell/holster combo but...
I tried ordering that one also and I was unable to get it at the time. This one is going to hold me over until I find something better.

hahaha i think I might go naked, but then again when cases start coming out anything that's purple and zebra stripped....me own...hahaha but i doubt i'll put a screen protector on it. i have a touch laptop and i'm used to smudged fingerprints. plus i'm always carrying around the little wipe cloth thing to use with it to clean it so i'll just use that to clean my screen cause it really helps to clean your glass without scratching it.
