Wow, most of you guys really love either launcer pro or adw launcher. Can someone briefly tell me what the difference is? I just dont see much difference between those and the stock/sense. And i actually like the big clock widget.
What I like about ADW is gestures and you can change how many icon rows/columns on the homescreens, up to 8x8(which let's you adjust the size of widgets as well). I have gestures set up to where if I flick up it opens previews, flick down anywhere brings down the notification bar. Which is nice because it's quite a reach to the top of the screen with a thumb. The dock bar has the four slots then the app drawer button in the middle. You can pull this up for another row of icons you can set. Also might be more overall customization options than with Launcher Pro.
Launcher Pro has nicer animations fading in and out to and from each app, and the 3d app drawer(ADW has a couple app drawers you can choose from though, I like their Galaxy S drawer, as well as setting app drawer background transparency). The best thing about LP it is the scrolling dock bar which let's you set up to 15 icons.
A lot of good things on both of them. For one thing with both you can set it not to show icon labels. You can set how quickly a screen moves when you move to the other, how much it overshoots if at all..etc. Also both rotate into landscape on home screens. Basically both give you a lot more functionality and customization than Sense, and IMO just look better. After awhile that Sense dock thing on the bottom looks ugly. As far as the flip clock, you can get one that looks EXACTLY like it called FancyWidgets. Not in the market anymore but you can find it.
