Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

My phone shipped today. It was only 4 hours away as of 8am this morning but I won't get it until "before 7pm" on Friday.

Ordered: 6/20 online
Ship by: 7/19
Ship Date: 7/14
ETA: 7/16

Too bad I work all day Friday and my roommate doesn't get out of bed til after noon. Gonna leave a note in hopes they'll leave it if he doesn't answer the door. I'll be mad if I could've been playing with it all weekend and have to wait until they attempt to deliver again on Monday!

If the skew # is not that and you ordered it in the last month or so, something has changed in the phone, and it may be the screen.

I checked it against the local store model which has been there by day one of the phone and against the Moto Droid X they have in the store. It is identical to the display unit and noticeable better than the Droid X. I did just check the SKU # and it is the one you list. I ordered 6/14. If it is the new screen they are going to use, you can't tell the difference that's for sure. On the other hand, I didn't really care which screen I got. Each have their advantages which would work for me either way.

Can you tell me the questions you asked? haha - I called and they said I ordered it on 7/1 and it will ship on 7/29. Curious if they have to dig any deeper to get an updated shipping date.

The guy i talked to today that told me he still had the same ship dates from a few days ago (short name, kip, chip, something like that) told me he was pretty sure the ship dates he was giving out going to change drastically for the better over the next few days and I would get mine before my estimated re-ship date.

I am thinking at this point with a few phones showing up in stores combined with the website ship date changing for the better today and the 6/20-6/22 people getting ship notifications that the guy was right.

sku is all that matters, you got the amoled, congrats, and use it in best of health. Tell us how it is working, etc.
 
well it looks like either HTC kicked something into gear or everyone is waiting out the X when I reordered i was told 8/2 will by date. then yesterday the site said...will be date 8/10... today its back to 8/2 LOL maybe my 8/2 date moved up several days..if it did I hope they keep it as a surprise to me. like they did on my back ordered ship by date.

looks like I will get it in time to play with both the incred and x for a couple weeks before I have to decide...
 
I am sure this has been said somewhere else already, but did anyone else notice that the "Ship By" date is now 8/2? I assume this signals Verizon is getting more in stock, or that more people are cancelling for the Droid X.

O it is SO worth it, i'm here to tell ya. Had it three weeks now and love it more and more. Dont be put off by battery on first week. You use it so much that it's not an accurate estimate of battery life. phone just died after 26 hours up time and 5 1/2 hours awake. Good enough for me!!!

I dont think they have switched screens yet. At least if you ordered AMOLED you should get it up to the cutoff date.

That what I ordered .. if it aint on there its going back or they better give me an additional discount on what I paid origionally.

I was born in LA, then moved away to Memphis for 25 years :eek: and am now back in LA. I'll call my friends at FedEx and tell them to make sure yours is on the same shipment coming down.....oh wait....i have no friends at FedEx...they are all at UPS....

My refresh button is almost wore out......if we all hit refresh at the same time will it crash the FedEx tracking site???? let us not try that

Guess we could have an Incredible Android Forum Unofficial Convention down here. At least that is what we can call it to write it off on our taxes (for those of us that pay them). It will actually be a keg, carton of cigs, a grill, red meat, crawfish and phones (for those of us that have them).:)

So long as we don't go to the coast to party. :( Only to help clean up or take pictures with our phones to report the progress.

Called CS to see if I would get a shipping notification 07/12. He said yes.
Found attempted deliver door tag: 07/13

Called FedEX last night and asked them to hold for pickup.
Picked up this morning and started charging.

What I didn't realize was that you have to hold the power button down for several seconds to turn the DINC off. When I plugged it in, it powered up right away. When I pressed the power button for a few seconds, then released, the screen blacked out. It wasn't until I got home this evening that I realized I had just had the screen locked. Oh well, power is off now.
 
Just did the *611 and got the "pending"notification.Talked to a very cool csr who gave me my tracking #.My dinc went out today from Ontario and will be delivered by 3pm tomorrow.:-) I had ordered on 6/20 had a ship by date of 7/19,shipped on 7/14 and will be in my hands 7/15.
I am a very happy camper :-)

that's a bummer about your CSR...mine was all giddy about the dInc..she has one too. She said that's all any of them are talking about - dincs and x's.

Mine was shipped FedEx 2 Day, but my FedEx center rocks! They got it in at 3:54 this morning, sorted it at 7:43 and put it on the truck for delivery at 8:02.

We missed the driver, he attempted to deliver at 2:31 and my fiance didn't get home until 2:45! But we were able to pick it up at 4:30.

seems like their csr was pretty good to me. I confused ...by the bummer part, when they said the csr gave them a tracking #. Oh well, back to the x fourm..wonder which phone I will get in first... Dinc ordered on 7-6 or X ordered asap ... which will I keep, is the real question I guess... good luck to all/any pending shipments hope yall get'em soon

Still shipping with AMOLED - Compared screen to a phone received a month ago and it's the same. The phone is simply amazing, best mobile device i have ever used and better than iphone 4 IMO.

Very, very light and easy to carry in jean pocket, screen is amazing - battery life is the only negative. Got Sendio battery and breaking it in.

Got it wrapped in Ghost Armor and now I don't have to worry about throwing it around.

New update for Google Maps has the Navigate function - Speak an address and it plots it out for you in 5 secs. Awesome.
