Help ***Official*** Status of your Droid X order thread

I was eligible for early upgrade ($20) early last month so I upgraded from Storm to Incredible. Then, I heard about the Droid X and there were a few things I didn't like about the Inc, so I returned the Inc last weekend and went back to the Storm for a few days (painful!). Thursday am went to the local Verizon store first thing in the am, waited in line for 45 minutes (not too bad) and finally was told that, because I had returned the Inc the only way I could still take advantage of the early upgrade was by phone - they couldn't do it at the store. So, I ordered by phone Thursday at 10:45am and was told I'd have it Friday or Saturday. Didn't receive ship confirmation with tracking number 'till Friday pm and it's scheduled for Tuesday delivery. Tracking progress online and hoping they deliver early (Monday). Frustrated, but at least I know I'll have one in a couple of days.
 
Verizon still has no info on my order. "Before the end of the month," is what they tell me. The Walmart right next to my house has them in stock, but do you think they can honor Verizon's promotion to upgrade early? My actual upgrade date is 8/1/10, and that's why I ordered over the phone. They refuse to move my upgrade date up to today, otherwise I'd just cancel the order and go get one from Walmart.
 
Glad to hear folks who didn't get one Friday are already getting shipping notifications. I had to get mine replaced and did that Friday around 3:00 p.m. Sure hope I get it within a few days. I've received nothing but the replacement order confirmation so far.
 
I ordered on Friday afternoon after a battle with Verizon.

My FedEx tracking Number says it arrived in Newark, NJ around noon today. That's about 40 minutes from where I am.

Tracking page still says scheduled for delivery on Tuesday, so are the odds good that I may get it tomorrow with it being so close?
 
Ordered mine thursday morning online. Got shipping e-mail today at 3:30 pm. X should go out monday for overnight delivery tuesday.

The end is finally near.
 
I ordered mine in a Verizon store Saturday morning. Glad to see those that ordered Friday are getting their shipping notifications today.

Gives me hope that I will get it a lot sooner than the 27th.

Same here man. I had all but given up checking e-mail for the weekend, when i opened that little gem. X should ship monday for overnight delivery on tuesday.

I ordered it 7/15 at 0700 est online.

The dates they are providing are "by" the 23rd. They will get it out sooner if they can and all Droid X orders are shipped Fed ex overnight at no cost to you.

Once the phone is shipped, the ball is in Fed ex's court.
 
Ordered mine on Thursday at 11:55pm scheduled for delivery tomorrow (Monday) by 3pm.. Only problem is I wont be here there so I'm going to leave a signed note hopefully they will leave it.. anyone else have luck leaving a sign note?
 
I ordered my Dx late Thursday night/ early Friday morning. Got tracking info by 10am my time and it's arriving Monday, currently a twenty to thirty minute drive from here. =) Would have been Saturday if i chose to let it ship on Saturday's, but it's okay. Waiting until the 20th to activate because that's when our cycle begins.

I've tried leaving a signed note before with no luck. Good luck I hope it works out.

We got emails with tracking numbers. Oddly enough neither package's info has been updated over the entire weekend. Both should be overnight packages shipped late friday and early sat morning, but going by the current tracking, neither has moved at all since yesterday about noon.

I'm sure that its just a weekend lack of tracking updates, but if not, one is still coming from Memphis Tenn, and the other is stuck in Greer, SC.

I'll check in the morning, and see if both are updated as out for delivery. Odd thing is, both phones should be in ONE shipped box, and I have two packages arriving. At any rate, tomorrow should be interesting.
 
Today is the day as long as Fedex doesn't feel a need to botch this one too. Let's hope they are all on top of their game and come through without any issues, wrecks, or dropped X's.

Sure don't want to go though this again to get one replaced. :eek:
 
My FedEX Tracking page still says the estimated date for delivery is the 20th, BUT, It says this morning that it's "On FedEx vehicle for delivery"

did u order online or at the store? i did a pre-order in Lindale last wk, but heard it would be 2 wks-- i need one by Wed, any suggestions?
 
Ok, talked to Fed Ex again.. one package IS due to be delivered today before 4:30. The other package says it went from Memphis Tn, to Greer, SC, and then BACK to Memphis, TN, however the girl on the phone said that was wrong, and that it would actually be delivered tomorrow.

So. We might get two phones in one package today, OR we might get one today, and one tomorrow. However Verizon instists that they do not ship unless they can put all the phones for one order in the same box.

Go figure!
 
Just called CS, for my order that was placed on the 15th between 5:15/5:30am CST - My order will not ship until 7/27 as the X is on backorder :mad:
This is the 2nd time I've been caught up in VZN launch issues, first with the Incredible and now the X

Looks like I will be staying with my Bold 9700 and AT&T :rolleyes:
