Is that what makes the big clock come up on the home screen? It's the docking station home screen? Can you make it appear in one of the other stands shown on this thread?

Yes. That is what makes the big clock come up. In addition, the position of the magnet, pole-wise, tells the phone if it is in a Motorola docking station or if it is in a Motorola car mount.

I don't know if any of the other stands in the thread are compliant. I just wanted to make sure that nobody bought a docking station that didn't make their phone go into docking mode, if that's what they were buying the dock for.
