Help ***Official*** Status of your Droid X order thread

What part of the country are you in?

I'm in the north suburbs of Chicago. Highland Park, actually, about 35 minutes northwest of Motorola's HQ.

Sidenote: I had to stick a note to the door to tell the delivery guy to deliver my package around the back, but I couldn't find tape so I used syrup instead...lol

edit: my phone is on the truck now...as anxious!
 
Hope that everyone receives their Droid X quickly. Seems that Verizon has sent out a number of the devices (DROID X Orders Shipping Early, Today Actually - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog).

Hmm. I'm just outside of DC and I also ordered on the 15th. Still no shipping email.

Must have patience.
 
Just called verizon CSR, my X is in local fedex facility!!! WOHO!!!!!
Order placed on store for replacment due to faulty camera 7/18/10 shipped 7/22/10 delivery by 7/23/10 before 3:00pm
now,just want to get home to check this baby out!!

OK so now that I found The "Official Status of your Order page"... I ordered the X yesterday 7/22 evening. At least I think I ordered it, I left a deposit at the VZ store. Not sure if it will arrive there more quickly as opposed to online order. Anyhow as posted earlier elsewhere I can wait. VZ says I'm in for unlimited data for now as well. The battery in the old LG Voyager goes to it's knees every time I check email. Hope it arrives soon.
 
nothing new for me.... the same you ordered on the 19th so it'll ship on the 27th... receive on the 28th. i'm getting impatient

How did you manage to get it shipped overnight? ;-)
Mine is a replacement - I paid for overnight shipping on my original X (ordered 7/15, delivered 7/16, died 7/19). But I have talked to VZW customer service a few times, and they outright refuse to ship the replacement phone overnight.

I know it's only a matter of a day, but heck, I really feel like they should do at least that.

they gave me free overnight delivery... it's my first phone so maybe thats why?
 
Woot woot....just got Fed Ex shipping notification!!! Shipping from Ontario, CA, ship date 7/23/2010, estimated delivery 7/27 by 4:30pm.

I think this is the only time in my life that I have been mad that it's the weekend! LOL
 
it really is frustrating as hell to see people who order AFTER you, get theirs before I've even received a tracking number/shipping notification... VZ f-ed this up big time in my opinion. but, iv'e learned my lesson... never again will I order online from them.
 
I orginally ordered an HTC incredible. We had some problems with verizon. I ordered mine on 7/21 and was told I would get it 8/3. I called verizon today and got a Fed Ex tracking number and should get it Monday.

I was telling myself this too. I never received any sort of order status or tracking number... Long story ahead:

After placing my order on the 15th about 6:00am with overnight shipping, calling back the 16th when it didn't show up and being told my order got stuck in the system and I would have it by the 23rd, and calling the 18th to complain and told I would definitely have it by the 23rd, I told myself I would leave Verizon alone and wait until the 23rd like they told me.

So of course my phone did not show up today. I had them ship to my work, and FedEx shows up here every morning about 9:00am.

I called *611 and asked the rep, Ivan, to check the status of my order and he said the manager of the rep who took my order on the 15th rejected the order that same day! So when I called back on the 16th and 18th, and the reps assured me I would have it by the 23rd, it turns out my order didn't even exist!

Ivan told me he did not know why it was canceled, and that I should have been called back that same day to fix the problem. He was, however, able to give me a better deal on the phone. Instead of $299 with mail in rebate + $20 early upgrade fee, he gave it to me for $199, with no mail in rebate and no fees. Unfortunately he said it would not ship until 8/3.

I told him that I wasn't upset at him, but frustrated at how the situation was handled and that I should have had my phone a week ago. He agreed, and told me that if there was anything in his power that he could do to get the phone here sooner, he would, but he did offer me a $50 credit which I accepted.

I was assured that my order would go through this time without needing approval by any manager, and that I would receive a tracking number in my email when the phone shipped. I spoke to him less than an hour ago, and my account page is already updated with the order.

So if you ordered and have not heard *anything*, like I had, you should probably call back. Chances are they screwed up. I am not completely satisfied, but at least now I know for sure there is an order for me, and hopefully I'll get lucky like a lot of people in this thread and my order will ship early.

Same here, estimated delivery date 7/26 to SF bay area. Ordered 7/19 via internet. I was in the ship by 7/27 group so all things considered not bad. If I badgered the local retailers enough I may have found one by now but finally decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
 
Ordered my HTC incredible on 6/6 told it would be here by 6/28.
Got it and activated it 7/8.

Ordered my Droid X on 7/16 told it would be here by 7/23. No sign of it.

Verizon has screwed both of these things up really bad after they promised me the Droid X would not have the same problems as the Incredible in terms of shipping.

They lied. But obviously they have the best service in town and no matter how pissed I am that they dropped the ball on this, I wouldn't be dumb enough to take my business elsewhere.

Guess I'll just wait some more/call and complain to get some free stuff.
 
Ordered on the 15th @ 5:30pm. Have not received any notification on shipping as of 2:20pm 7/23. Im angry right now in regards to coming home from work and expecting the promised shipping notification, and if I still don't get an email later today, I'm going to be pretty pissed.

Sounds like you got a great rep. SO sorry this happened.. but thankful you got someone who would really work with you and helped make up for the other mistakes .... great deal but not worth all that hassle.. hopefully you'll get it sooner than they said :)
 
I have been reading all of the horror stories over the last few weeks. I went into a Verizon store last Sunday, the 18th and was told that if i ordered then it would ship on 7/23. The whole thing with the instant rebate put me off though and decided the next day Monday the 19th to call and order on the phone and was told that it would not ship untill the 27th, not the 23rd. Called today to just see that all was in order since you can't check anything on line if ordered by phone and was told sorry, not shipping until Aug 3rd. Went ballastic and thanks to all of you demanded to speak to his supervisor. When she came on I yelled at her about all of these changes to ship dates and a bunch of other near obsenities and she put me on hold and when she came back she had a tracking number for me and said low and behold, it just went into the computer as being shipped. What a miracle. Shortly there after, I got my Email shipping notification and checked it on line with FedEx and it is all there. Should have it on the 27th. so when all said and done, it shipped on the 23rd. Will let you know.
