Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Oh Holy Crap! I about went for a run, decided to continue to look up stuff on this site, and then the doorbell rang! It's Finally Here!

6/28 order

I ordered 7/6 with an expected ship date of 8/3. Got an email this morning saying it shipped on 7/22 with a delivery date of 7/26. Awesome!

BUT...Verizon shows it shipping to my home when I contacted them THREE separate times indicating it should be shipped to my work address. They are IDIOTS at that place. I'm so close to calling them up, cancelling my order, and telling them I'm changing carriers. Anytime I have to go to a store or contact customer support to change, add, upgrade, or remove something they **** up. This isn't rocket science.

they are idiots, no doubt. I have a feeling I am gonna be giving the phone back for the new samsung.
 
I like the looks of the new samsung, but after my experience on my current samsung saga, and hearing from what others have gone through on newer samsungs, i really dont know if i could go with them.
 
Ordered: 7/9
Expected Shipping Date: 8/9
Actual Shipping Date: 7/21
Received: 7/23

Unfortunately, I had to refuse to sign it because I will be receiving a new phone with $100 discount (ordered 7/20). Hopefully, they keep up with the same two week shipping and I will have the phone by early August.

Well, they didn't upgrade mine, I still had 2-day shipping and they held true to it.
 
Verizon is taunting me. Just got an email from them but it was to thank my for my upgrade on my wife's line. What a let down! Ha-ha.

They do seem to be sticking to whatever shipping method you selected when you ordered though.

Well, I guess the good thing is that there's only 17 hrs to go (but who's counting?) before I get off of work! Better than the 24hrs I started the day with!
 
Man, this thread is depressing me. I ordered 7/20 and really don't want to have to wait as long as some of you. Can any of the people who most recently got their phones comment as to whether they're LCD or AMOLED?
 
7/11 order in store here, just got my shipping email, have never been happier!
expected delivery is 7/27 for some reason..

will call cs later for an explanation.

seems like they are finally getting their s*** together!
 
Posting to this forum must be the magic touch! I just got off the phone with the sweetest young man who informed me that my phone shipped yesterday! (Keep in mind that when I called yesterday, I was told to expect it probably in August.) I could dance I'm so happy! Here's to next week!

there is a thread on this you should look at but the quick answer is no phones are LCD right now regardless of what rumors you hear.
 
Just as a time-line update:

Ordered in store 7/1
expected ship date 7/29
Actual Ship date 7/21
Arrival at 12 noon 7/23...waiting for me at home...

Contracts! That is wonderful! You are going to love this phone.

Isn't it great when the CD people are nice? I spoke to a really nice guy a few weeks ago too. Maybe it was the same guy.
