Root The FPS fix with Unrevoked

Do I need to undo unrevoked in order to do a full root?

Which version of unrevoked? I used unrevoked3 and am able to flash kernels...gps fix works great. Smooth as butter. There are plenty of directions out there on how to do this.

I used unrevoked 3, but I cant find any direction. I have Rom manager isntalled but I dont know where to begin.

I just flashed this Rom from XDA-Dev last night, FPS fix for both types of panels the Evo's may have. It's definitely noticeably faster and smoother.
You should be able to save the zip to your SD card and load it from ROM Manager.

boot into recovery (clockwork) then you scroll down to install zip from SD card and press the power button to select it. Then you go to choose zip from SD card and press the power button again to select it. Then you scroll down to the zip file of the FPS fix, I forgot what the exact name of it was it think maybe netarchy. but then you install and then reboot.
thanks worked perfect for me using unrevoked 3, did not have to use evo switch, getting 53fps right after reboot. I have been using launcher pro and the animations are much more smoother and zippy now.

so can i install this custom kernal on a stock rooted rom?
i already rooted with Unrevoked 3. How do I go about doing the FPS fix....just run Unrevoked again?

Go to the netarchy link posted above and near the bottom of the NA's post, there's should be a link to 3.7.4 zip download. Download this and put it in your SD card.
Now, Go get ROMmanager app from market and open.
If this your first time, you'll have to flash a recovery. Click on the first menu where it says "flash clockwordmod recovery"
After you have done so, it should ask you to choose HTC evo etc.
After it installs, click Reboot into Recovery.
Your phone will now reboot, and it'll go into Recovery menu.

I'm not sure....I'm pretty new to Android (came from an iPhone two weeks ago). I already have unrevoked 3 but I want to fix the FPS issue and also would like to be able to overclock.
The gen pop is the one I want?
That's the one I used, Iam using rooted stock Rom.

How's your battery life at 1152?
Can't tell a difference yet.
I have the CPU underclocked to 245MHz when the screen if off though.

Is this FPS fix included in Cyanogen already or does this need to be added. I literally just flashed this ROM after seeing someone playing Marvel vs Street Fighter on youtube..Thought I'd be all set after flashing to Cyanogen. How can you tell what your rooted on. I had a IT guy root mine a few weeks ago that was done AFTER the 2.2 update. (the root that took a while for ppl to figure out). I dont want to use the wrong one and lose root.
