Help whats the best weather app

Weatherbug Elite is a very nice standalone app, but for widgets I like the weather widget included with Beautiful widgets.

i'm using weatherbug free....i like the status bar icon w/ the temp.....is beautiful widgets better? I do prefer the animated weather radar of the weather channel ap but i just like the weatherbug ap free. I had weatherbug pro on my iphone......is there any real benefit to spending the $2 on the pro? I don't see it.

I have Beautiful Widgets, which is nice. I had The Weather Channel which wasn't bad. I absolutely LOVE the Weatherbug (free) widget. It's small, and I set it up for a transparent background. I have my wallpaper set as the Golden Gate bridge so when I have a cloud or sun in the corner, it looks freaking amazing!!!!

Well I have all four on one home screen... ( WeatherBug free widget, Weather Widget, shortcut to Weather.com & shortcut to iMap ). My primary mode of transportation is a motorcycle, so I NEED to know where these storms are and which way they are heading. I always had WeatherBug on my storm 1, loved it except the moving radar - that's what I really need.

But as my fav right now on the DX I would have to say WeatherBug still, if I need to see some looped radar I'll head over to Weather.com, but it doesn't seem as accurate as Bug, iMap at a stand still has a good radar but as mentioned the loop is too fast, and the program definitly has some kinks to be worked out. SO in conclusion, instant weather I use Bugs widget and/or Weather widget, and for motion near the ocean I use Weather.com - still tinkering with iMap.

Only one app has alerts set BTW, I know some may see 4 weather apps and think my phone gets blown up with advisories but nah, only 1 set - Bug handles that.

I've yet to try beautiful widgets, I've heard so many good and unforntunatly bad things - maybe soon in the future.

My only complaint about WB Elite is that the advisories sometimes aren't for my area. I've confirmed that I do have my zip code and a local station selected in the settings and it is not set to change based on my location. Often, I will get storm advisories for Missouri and Ohio, but I'm in Indiana. Other than that, it's a great app.

I found this thread when I was searching for a better weather widget b/c I downloaded Weatherbug Elite with Locator and have been annoyed to find that on my home screen I look down and it is clear ~90 degrees outside, and it is reporting 70. Even once I tapped the widget to open the app, and the fullscreen weather displayed refreshed to show the ~90, but when it returned to the widget, the widget still read 70. However, when I did it again, the widget FINALLY! updated. It seems there are a lot of latencies on the Weatherbug Widget w/ Locator. It seems it only updates a few times a day. Also, when travelling over the weekend, it did NOT follow me. By the time I got home from a 2 hr drive, it was still in the city that was 2 hours away.

I see lots of accolades here for Weatherbug so what am I missing? Why is it performing so horribly for me? I am a big fan of the Radar Widget though. That is very cool.

Ok I just installed Accuweather. It looks really nice and picked up my location via GPS right away. I just wish it had a smaller widget like Weatherbug. I do also like the fact that Weatherbug reports what station the data is from.

Thanks.
