Text Messege Notification

Is there a way to get a pop up notification for a text? Or something like on the iPhone where it notifies you that you still have unread msgs on the app itself?

My problem is I clear the Notification bar and don't realize i have a txt and then never see them.

I never did like pop up text messeges. To many friends of mine send naked stuff.

launcherpro app will show you that you have a message.
I have one unread, it shows on the message indicator, even though I cleared it from the dropdown list thingy.

scan it with barcode scanner

I just use Handcent instead of the default txt message app.
