How did people get 2.2? I been hitting htc update and firmware update twice a day and can't get it.
lls Im sorry didn't mean to be rude , but your are. Were have u been the last 3 days?
Here's the link with helpful instructions at top, and there's another post a little further in with with a step-by-step in pictures.
The original file's been taken down, so you want to follow the instructions looking for it on a mirror site.
If you try a little, and still can't find it, post back in THAT thread and one of us will gladly help out.
And don't get discouraged by people giving you a hard time over an honest question. We all get that.

This is the battery thread, so I won't be looking for your questions on that here.
For those having an issue with significant battery drain after installing Froyo, uninstall the app 'LED Light'. This app was breaking my camera and causing my phone to be always on. After I first installed Froyo, my camera and battery was fine, but about 3 or 4 hours later, my camera was broke and my phone was always on.
who knows...Guess we will see next weekI thought that the 100% final Froyo build hasn't been released yet?? Aren't you guys on an older build??

Why should we uninstall apps and adjust/optimize feature settings just to save battery life? HTC should have done that from the get-go. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there is something wrong with the battery life with the Evo. Yes, yes there are those with 3-4 day battery life duration albeit in idle mode. The draining problem still persists even with the Froyo update.
lls i know right...i've only seen a handful of happy Froyo usersI sure hope so.

So far as we know.
Turn off background data and auto-sync for now.
You may have something stuck syncing behind your back.
Same thing happened to me in 2.1.
Try it for a few hours, see if the problem goes away.
Doesn't turning off background data stop gmail, weather, and stocks and everything else to stop sending. How could this be seen as a possible fix.
