There's plenty of room on the app screen, i don't want to click (app, on, bright, ok) 4 TIMES!?!?!? seriously????Not bad, but I won't see the warning notice then.
Is "button released" supported by Android on a touch screen? Or just press, double tap, longpress? Inquiring minds want to know.

Three buttons on app screen, the on/off, hold for highbeam, and exit. plenty of room for a disclaimer.

oh now you're just being silly...Three buttons is fine, whether bright works by holding or just "Bright on" (with it re-dimming via timer).
As far as seeing the disclaimer, if I am holding the button my giant thumb is in the way.![]()

Can someone rename this thread to: LED Flashlight- the creation of a sensation
Not bad, but I won't see the warning notice then.![]()
In reference to your widget comment, there's an old saying, "don't criticize what you don't understand". You should learn that one.
Oh, so you are going to bring our disagreement to this thread when I left it alone in the other one? I also politely did NOT throw any stones at you personally here, criticize your app, or even mention your app by name. Trolls should not try to sell apps, they piss off as many customers as they get.
Now some friendly advice to drop it. I have nothing to lose, and you do.
Stick with LED Flashlight. He will likely have a widget version in a few days for those that want one. And he certainly seems more honorable. Or adult.
Can you make the light actually flash?
The original flashlights were called "flash lights" because they would only shine for a few seconds at a time. The flashlights we has as kids had a slider to switch on, but also a button to give a short burst and spring back off. Using the sort bursts could help you around in the dark and it would really conserve battery life. Flashing the at a walking pace or even slower can let you see/plan every footfall. The on time can be very, very short.
I wonder if the voltage profile necessary to light an LED would save much juice if it strobed on and off so quickly.
A variable flash frequency setting would be nice; varying both cycle time and flash time.
Chet, Here is a UI suggestion, if you can get all these options to work

+ a widget and you will be the only app needed![]()

Any free alternative? I don't own a credit card...

I don't understand the need for a slider for led brightness...
