Think I found 2.2 on HTC's website

I'll just wait for HTC to bring us back in line. My unofficial/official Froyo is running great. No FC's, all my apps work, Flash is fine, battery life is back to being better than before. No reason to mess with it.

I downloaded the file from this thread, renamed it update.zip, moved it to my SD card, and so far it's "verifying update package". Will update here if it is successful or fails.

Edit: finally came up with "assert failed: apply_patch_check....." E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (Status 7)

its no big deal; going from a .3 to a .6 release can't be much, if ANYTHING of a difference..

I agree but its still hard knowing that there is a newer version..oh well. I am running perfect as well.

Anyways funny comment from someone on Engadget:

"My Evo couldn't find the upgrade until I manually changed the date to August 3rd. Then it immediately notified me of an update."

Give it a try if you havent manually updated :p.

Yea, and those with the OTA are getting the same issues we had, camera not working, apps missing in market. Really wondering if .6 and .3 are diffrent at all? (hell, even file size was the same)

Could be why we can't update using the .zip file or OTA.

anyone with "offical" 2.2 check the build on the phone?
 
I feel like where on punishment for doing something wrong ha ha. I think HTC will be fast on getting it resolved for us. They beat their deadline with dropping the update. Hold tight, its coming.
 
if your phone works perfectly on .3, then its no punishment!
I bet the files are identical except .6 is 7k larger..could be one icon file or something minor like that..
