Well the Topic says it all, I am going to be the Proud owner of a Black Desire in a few days :)

Well before i get the phone i thought i could browse around for some cool tunes/wallpapers and stuff and get ready.

Anybody got any recommended sites i can go to for ringtones/live wallpapers and other stuff?

Also recommendations on widgets and applications would be nice.

you could start by checking out Free ringtones, themes, wallpapers, games. Millions of downloads for your mobile phone | Zedge to get some ideas and when you get your phone you can browse the market for wallpapers and themes etc.

two apps to download from the android market could be zedge and flikie wallpapers which have large wallpaper archives which are easy to download/install.

Thanks for getting back to me, checked out the site. It just says wallpapers, what about those Live Wallpapers? Can i preview them on the PC?

Do you know what! I haven't even tried one out - how bad am I...although my desire has currently died, not happy! :mad:
 
Live wallpapers do use battery power, but for me the novelty soon wore off and I only use static pictures now - not because of the battery drain, but because the static images are actually far better and there's a significantly bigger choice.
 
I have the aquarium live wallpaper and I love it. It does show up on the battery use statistics but never at more than about 2% of total use so I can live with that.
 
You may wish to consider rooting the phone (flashing it with stock firmware) considering it's from Orange.

hahaha....good one. I guess i should have been more specific. I'm getting the phone through a bank cause I'm redeeming points for it. Points+Payment so I pay less :D
 
If you havent looked through this thread, i'd suggest you do!

Shows off many widgets/wallpapers/themese etc including links to things. Needs a bit of patience to go through now though! Recomend changing your viewing options of posts per page..... :)
