Get yourself the new baseband.
If I may ask, can you tell me how to do that.
Thank!

Get yourself the new baseband.
downloading this will not root you, you have to already be rooted to use this ROM.
but, your a great test case to find out if 2.2 can be rooted since you have updated already you say. You could download that new just released Easy Root app for $1 and see if you can root your 2.2.. if you can, you prove that 2.2 is still rootable and then you can also take advantage of all the root benefits.
I have followed some posts and here is the rooted 2.2 OTA. According to these posts which have been on some of the forums around.

Hope someone finds this useful I am a little gun-shy as to putting this on myself yet. Still too busy playing with the stock 2.2.
Use Rommanager and clockwork recovery to flash these. If I may ask, can you tell me how to do that.
Thank!
Sometimes clockwork sucks. Try again.Thanks,
I opened Rommanager and clockwork recovery and went to Install rom from sd card where I downloaded I then found the file C_01.43.01P. I tapped the file and got the Reboot and Install prompt. The screen went blank and then the motorola icon popped back up and the phone rebooted but I am still at the same baseband.
I restarted the phone and it would not start. Took the battery out and it started up but still at the original baseband. Any thoughts?
Using this ROM, am I still capped at 550 mhz?
Using the existing kernel, or mixing in a different one?
