Why they're shipping from Canada is beyond me, but I do know that they're hauling ass if they're getting it to Colorado by tomorrow.

Well, so much for that. Order got canceled because Verizon did not respond to the credit check "fast enough". So now I am sitting in limbo again.
 
Gahhh still nothing for me. I was hoping that rep who said it would probably ship today or tomorrow was right because I'm leaving late Wednesday afternoon to go to a funeral and it would have been nice to have it to mess with for my seven hour trip. All I can get representatives to tell me now is that it'll ship by the 19th, so I think maybe they're cracking down on reps giving earlier projections. One representative, however, said she was going to check for me when she gets in tomorrow and before she leaves and send me a text message with the tracking number if there is one.

Just wondering but what number are you guys all calling to be able to get this information from the reps. When I called *611 all anyone would tell me is that it would be shipped out by the 19th for me and I couldn't get any more information out of them other than that.
 
I ordered mine 7/30 at 3pm. I was told it would ship by the 11, then the 18th and yesterday i was told not until the 23rd. I live in NY I am slightly annoyed. My Droid died yesterday so I dont have a Phone!!
 
I ordered mine on the net w/ a credit card on 8-3.. No update other than the statement saying it will be shipped when they are available.

I called yesterday and was told 8/23 as well. I ordered on 8/4 from the Verizon Wireless website. When I ordered, the website said the phone would ship no later than 8/19.
 
That is the same my email I said I have been calling and emailing and the date keeps changing each time I ask. I should probably stop asking.
 
Ordered mine on the 3rd over the phone. No email, no nothing yet. Account was charged already. Hopefully they will just show up today????:o

When I purchased they said the 19th was when it will ship by. I hope it's much sooner than that...
 
My girlfriend ordered hers from the website last Tuesday, 8/3, and it arrived the next day. I'm confused by how Verizon's inventory/shipping works.
 
dont listen to any dates the people at *611 tell you, only call them to make sure they actually have your order. i called yesterday and was told the 19th and then I got an e-mail literally 5 minutes after I hung up.
 
we ordered 2 from the vreizon store on the 5th AND we changed contracts from sprint. I don't know if that will change anything. we don't have verizon numbers yet so i can't call *611. I think my head is going to explode.:eek:
 
It really was not an issue for me until my droid decided to turn off and not turn back on. So I emailed to check the status of my order to get response saying it was not shipping until the 23rd even though they charged my card on 8/1/10. I have 3 emails with 2 different shipping dates.
 
I ordered on line on 8/3. The estimated ship date was 8/19, but my phone just shipped today. So, I'd say there is a good chance you'll get your phone before the shipping date you get on line or from a rep
 
Sounds to me that Verizon just doesn't know how to deal with the demand of these phones. Some people have gotten emails, some haven't and their phones are showing up within a couple days. They need to get with it!

Currently on a Samsung Omnia (i910). Eagerly awaiting my Droid X which I ordered online on the 5th. Then it said (by the 23rd), so reading through this thread I am now hopeful I will receive it much sooner. Never ordered my phones online before but wanted to get the 'Instant Rebate' rather than the stupid card. On a plus note, a call to CS prior to my order allowed me to bump up my NE2 date from Sept. 14th to Aug. 5th.

Any tips or specific threads anyone can point me to with some recommendations coming from winmo to android. Good programs, setting up mail different, ect...?
 
Windows mobile to android is like Atari to xbox360. you just plug it and play :) and the droid2 is available now for pre-order i am tempted to preorder and get it before my x :(

Received shipping notification today (8/10) for overnight delivery to arrive tomorrow (8/11). Shipping from West Chester, PA

I did the same thing - from 9/7 to 8/7. But I had to order over the phone - she said it wouldn't allow me to place an order online. Interesting. Just goes to show you...if you ask 20 different people, you're gonna get 21 different answers. :)
 
I practically had an aneurysm last night when I got home after work (where I ordered the X on my lunch break) and had a shipment notification from Verizon for a package to arrive today.

After I settled down and considered that I'm just not that lucky, though, I realized that the secondary free phone that I bought with a second line probably just shipped before the Droid. D'oh.
 
They just sent me a response saying they do not have any phones to ship until 8/23/10. I want to copy and paste this thread in my response.
