i guess my biggest issue is the thickness of the battery...i would much rather carry a spare oem sized battery, than have to worry about that bulky thing in my pocket...i'm also a pocket guy, no putting the phone on my hip....

so with that, you battery pros, any links to some cheap oem sized spares?
heres one but if you google or search ebay you'll find them everywhere

HTC EVO 4G OEM BATTERY 1500 mAh BRAND NEW & AUTHENTIC - eBay (item 170522662461 end time Sep-02-10 12:07:54 PDT)

i should also mention that i use juice defender (free in the market)
and setcpu also free in the market but requires root
they really seem to help reign in the evo

While I prefer the Ebay back, the Seido back is not really any bulkier. Unfortunately, the Seido battery is larger than the Ebay battery so you can not use the Ebay cover with the Seido battery.

Shucks. Thanks for the confirmation!

lol great why didn't I wait! I'm so impatient. I just ordered both the seido and the 2 -3000mah for 20. I'm sure I'll get use out of all of them.

hmm let's see.. 5 days so far.. just left singapore. i estimate another 5-7 days to get through NYC customs before USPS shuttles it back to the west coast.

i'm kind of curious whether or not this yoobao is a real yoobao. namely because yoobao's own site doesn't show a evo 4g battery. they do have a touch pro 2 battery though.

oh i looked closer and it says Droid Incredible on the battery.. but still yoobao doesn't have a DI battery. going to ask their US distributor about this.

i know i can google them...i was more concerned with getting GOOD batteries...there are so many different chinese companies throwing stickers on crappy batteries, i wanted to know if anyone found a set of 1800mAh batteries that were good...

sorry i dont own any 1800mah the only oem i know are 1500mah and can be found right here in the android forum store (support your fourm):D

I can confirm that the seidio battery did not fit under the chinese barry door like it should. The top of the chinese door will close fine but the bottom will not close fully. All it would need is about half a mm. I might try shaving some of the door down since I like it better than the seidio door

Just ordered mine on ebay as well. 2 x 3000 mah battery, 2 x battery covers and 1 x wall charger. Coming from China well.

Cant wait!

i just have a look on Yoobao official site
they dont update the english version... there is a link direct to yoobao.cn
and then you can find both DI and Evo :p

Just received mine this morning. It is the YOOBAO version, not the ebay version. Charged it on the external charger while I went out. First impressions of the items are:
-The cover doesn't fit perfectly, but it is pretty darn close. I think the upper right corner is pushing the cover a bit and is therefore not sitting 100% flush.
-The battery is for the Droid Incredible, but we use the same battery so no worries there.
-The cover is pretty tough to take off! It snaps in really well along the top at the right side, so it'll take some courage to take it off without snapping it.
-The cover's finish is almost identical to the OEM cover's finish (rubberized).
-So far, 10% drop in 7 hours. I'm therefore looking at roughly 59.5 hours until I hit 15% according to my calculations, but I do not expect it to actually take that long. My usage comprises of light texting (~dozen messages), moderate web usage (~3 hrs), 5 phone calls (roughly 5 minutes each), GPS use for about half an hour, about half an hour of games, constant email checking (Google Talk) is on in the background too). I am also constantly logging battery use via System Panel monitoring.
-The hologram sticker on the battery is a legit YOOBAO hologram.

So far, so good! I might buy an ebay one after results come through on batteryboss.org (mainly just to have another spare battery cover). I will also continue to use this until Monday and then I'll send in the battery to batteryboss.org for testing.

are you using froyo? i installed froyo on thursday and have notice a decrease in battery life and my radios got worse :{. im still tweaking it so hopefully i can get back to were i was, hey does battery boss return the batteries i would love to send them all eight of mine and just keep the best preformers

i've just been monitoring this thread watching reviews. yeah froyo sucked the life out of my battery as well.. lol.

remember to go back through all the battery tricks again - google talk gets set back to auto log in.

facebook may be the big culprit tho. i'm rooted and removed facebook (both the app and the htc facebook) but i hear you can keep them if you update the htc facebook. check the version if you have htc facebook 1.0 this may be your battery problem, i believe it needs to be updated to version 1.3.

you may have also lost your battery stats when going to froyo and may need to cycle the battery through a few charges before you get accurate readings.

I'm on froyo and have turned off all sprint crap but I keep the background updates on. And yep, batteryboss sends them back.

I tweaked my settings (which I didn't have to do before) and I seem to be getting about the same battery life now with Froyo.

*sigh* Am I only the only who's constantly thinking how much it sucks that we have to wait so long for these batteries to ship in from Hong Kong? :D
