Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

ok guys i have two small updates, i know i sound like a broken record. The first is for those that already have b2 set up the way they like it. It fixes voice search from keyboard and navi, audio issue fix from adrynalyne with heap size and the Stock Android e-mail app that has exchange working with just the stock lockscreen even if your server policy hasn't allowed it before.

the second is a b3, no there is not a sense version of b3. This includes all of my fixes that I have posted except for the evo keyboard. So this includes: Android e-mail app that has exchange working with just the stock lockscreen even if your server policy hasn't allowed it before, Audio Fix, Voice Fix, Heap Size and Live Wallpapers.

Thank you! This worked great!

Gee, now with my voice option back on nav and search, the new swype apk w/voice button, the new google voice search app, and the hydra overclock kernal all working on my senseless 2.2 I am for the first time faced with having everything I want. Crazy!

Yeah they defo messed something up, all the last page links are messing up, and when i've posted something it's not always showing lol...

None of these work, none of the last page links work, they just give you refresh cycle...

I have a friend of a friend of Steve Jobs who said it is site maintenance and it will be going on and off all weekend. I wouldn't get too excited just yet...

Yeah, i noticed it was down all night for Maintenance but it should be up at all if its having issues, because anything posted wont stay, so it should have a maintenance page up still till its completely fixed...

I'm sure they will get it all back on track.
Not sure about the 'One Rom' idea anyway. I like the idea but in practice its just easier to flash a new rom when you want. It was definitely a learning experience though.

it would be cool if you could just select which rom you want at boot and have all your settings and apps stick but that is far from where we are at now. lol.

Forgive me, but I am a little irritated. I spent a lot of time writing up everything for the One Rom to Rule Them All thread.

Ugh.

No regular server backups?

Is it easier? I fail to see how.

As it stands, you download one rom, and switch to what you want.

Well it could just be my noobishness but i am not very adept using adb commands from the pc. With a regular rom i just download and install all from the phone.

Like I said I like the idea and the fact that you were able to put it together is pretty awesome. Are you able to load and switch roms from the phone as it is now?

Is anyone able to up this to mega or a straight download? I have tried like seriously 20+ times and it doesn't download in phone browser. Pretty please ;)

Tried sending you a PM, but i think the server is still sketchy and doesnt look like it was sent. I still have the thread up so this should save you some time from rewriting it!

MD5: 39BDC5AC3FC821A85438B14C4773A68B

Instructions for installation
Download from above link and place on sdcard.
Boot into clockwork recovery, and choose install zip from sdcard.
Navigate to your saved file and install it.
-wipe data/factory reset.
-reboot system now.

Scripts
Can be run from within Android, or via ADB.

sysro -Mounts system as read only and syncs the OS (not data sync)
sysrw- Mounts system as read write
rem_vvm- removes visual voice mail
rem_hot- removes 3G hotspot
rem_ba- removes backup assistant
v_lock- removes HTC lockscreen
rem_foot- removes HTC Footprints

Advanced scripts
These should be run from clockwork recovery via adb. A data wipe is HIGHLY recommended after running any of them. Running them from within Android is a risky ordeal.
BEFORE running these, you need to mount /system and mount /sdcard from the partitions menu (or for newer versions, Mount and unmount partitions menu).

To enter the shell to run these via adb:

Code:
adb shell
cd /system/xbin/
./frank-Installs frankenrom b3.
./vanilla- Removes Sense and enables Vanilla rom based on 2nd leak. This also works for Frankenrom!

Features:

Newer gmail client.
Vanilla features newer stock email client.
hulu ready- check sw_files/hulu_install folder on your sd card. Same for flash installation.
HTC music is default in vanilla due to issues with stock music app not reading internal storage.
More default apps left in, that can be removed via script. This will help those who want back what I removed before.
New default ringtone.
boot animation and sound relocated to /system/media as they should have been all along.
Spare Parts, compiled from source, and ad free.
Busybox 1.18.git (credit stericcson)
32m vm heap.
Latest superuser.
Basic file manager for accessing sd card immediately after installation.

Helpful Hints
Use ROM Manager to fix permissions when switching roms. Very important.
Understand switching a rom is a one way street.
Second wave can go to vanilla.
Vanilla can go to frank.
Frank can go to vanilla.
Vanilla cannot go to second wave.
Frank cannot go to second wave.
Frank does not contain maps. After using rom manager to fix permissions, download it from the market.
After install of any rom, reboot once more. The GPS gets stupid if you don't.
First boot when switching roms, or first install is very slow. Patience, grasshopper!
Make nandroid backups, and do it often. It sucks to reinstall a rom this big when you make a mistake you want to revert!

Performance
Performance is what you should expect from my ROMs.
Hydra kernels seem to work fine per Asterdroid.
Asterdroid was seeing some very impressive numbers under Frankenrom with the 1.15 ov kernel.

Optional
Streaming audio fix (breaks Hulu audio performance)

Thanks:
Asterdroid for help with beta test 1.
Everyone else for help with beta test 3!

So I posted this right before the forum went down but....

I was playing around last night to make sure I could actually piece together a boot animation and here is my test run for frankenRom

2shared - download update.zip

WARNING: May cause seizures!

It is nothing much at all. I didn't want to waste my time designing something if it didn't come out right. But it actually worked so expect more from me at a later date.

Can we get a preview of the image for the boot animation?

Can I just get beta 3 of frankenrom? So i can get the music working? I don't want all of those other roms.

Read above and the instructions are VERY clear as to how to install it FrankenRom Beta 3.

The music fix is in the Evo Test Roms thread.
