i dont know what to do!

ive called every sprint store within 30 miles of me.

NONE have the evo.


i need to exchange the htc hero within 7 days or the 30 days exchange policy will run out!

do i

a) stfu and live with the hero


or

b) return the htc hero ASAP and just wait it out until i do find a evo

The Hero is alright. But, think about the future, in a few months you will probably look back and wish you got the EVO. Id chose "b." Keep droping by your local BestBuy's and Sprint stores... youll find an EVO.. It seems to me that is all about getting lucky and showing up on a the same day a shipment comes in.
 
Where do you live? Is there a RS near you, every time I checked with them in my area, they had them. Only reason I held out was that I wanted a white one and bestbuy only had them at the time.

Exchanges can only occur at Sprint Stores. Unless you're talking about returning the item instead of exchanging....which would make sense since that would give me my upgrade back and Best Buy would be thrown into the mix. Am I right?
 
im in the same boat! but ive called every rs, bb, and sprint store AND NONE HAVE THEM! i dont know what to do either! im thinking of just actually physically going to a sprint and bestbuy store around the time they receive their shipments and testing my luck because this is ridiculous. how could there be SUCH a shortage?!

The PS3's and 360's weren't even like this! I got my Wii the day after it came out (although I was damn lucky).


I'm thinking about just returning the HTC Hero, then wait it out....That way, I'm not restricted by the exchange policy and can upgrade ANYWHERE, including BB or RS.
 
Do you have a Sprint phone that you upgraded from to get the Hero? I initially got the Moment and then found out about the EVO...I used the Moment for 30 days, returned it to wait for the EVO and went back to my old LG Lotus (aka The Purple Square) until launch day...

that's what i'm doing on friday. i don't have a car because i've been visiting family which makes it harder to find. but i still have 3 out of 5 places within reasonable walking distance

but i know radio shack around me gets its shipments on friday so i'm just going stake them out. bring my ipod and maybe some lunch and just wait.

Some people believe you should just wait for the EPIC. It's an EVO, but with a keyboard. NOT!

I got to play with an Epic on Monday, it wasn't activated though. I can assure you, It doesn't blow. It slightly thicker than the Evo, but the keyboard is decent, I like it better than the moments. The screen was beautiful.

It has since been activated, but the owner has been out of the office.

If that's the case, then it blows especially with its GPS problems.
 
Try walmart.they have had them.take the hero back and just hit some stores.i wish you luck. If you were in the houston area I knew of one store that had some.
