Droid X Survives Motorcycle Crash

Romoko

Newbie
Yep! Sitting in the ER waiting room, wondering when I'm going to get treatment, and thought I'd take my mind off things.

Sever motorcycle accident, and my Droid X was in the pocket of my riding jacket. The whole jacket is trashed and shredded, and my X was un touched. Although, it was COMPLETELY covered in dirt and gravel, but there's no way you could tell that now.

It was dark when the accident happen, and i was able to use droidlight to find the other half of my shoe, etc...

Thanks moto!

The reason I don't ride bikes on the road.....but I've hit my share of trees :) . Lots of woods riding and Harescrambles/Enduros/ISDE Qualifiers in the day.

Glad you are OK.

What?...............no pics? :)

Glade to hear you made it Romoko. What was the bike you were on when you crashed? Was the droid X in a case?
+1 on wearing the gear.

Glad to hear you are okay. I broke my collarbone in a motorcycle accident at the end of June. But I had my gear on so no scrapes. Hope you get through ER quickly. I had to wait 7 hours.

+ 2 on the riding gear. Good luck with your recovery. Ride safe and ALWAYS WATCH OUT FOR THE OTHER VEHICLES!!!

The X was in a neoprene case, those soft black ones you can buy. didn't even break the headphone jack.

I took pictures of my injuries, but they're a little graphic for this forum.

2005 Honda CBR 600rr.

stuff like this really opens your eyes. This is my 10th year riding.

Glad to hear you're OK. I've been riding for two years now, and haven't gone down (yet).

I've actually been surprised at how few near incidents I've had with cagers. I mostly rode back roads commuting to work, and my odd hours kept me out of the normal peak traffic times.

glad to hear your ok!, i've had my Hayabusa two years now and when i go out riding i always enable latitiude "just in case" but thank god, riding skills, and my new daughter i have had no accidents.

ouch, good luck recovering.

i rode 4 seasons in missouri for 3 years back in college, but only 3 lessons learned:
snow is easier to ride on than plowed, icy pavement.
ditch the sportbike and get a supermoto.
if it looks like water, it's probably ice.

Glad you're okay. Speaking of build quality, anyone else notice a slight give on the upper left side of the phone? It's where I put my index finger (right hand) between the camera hump and the Verizon logo on the back. You'd put your thumb there if holding it left handed. Not a big deal but want to see if anyone else notice the same thing
