Root Can't get 2.2 to install.. question on the apk's i removed.

when its done
open up rsd
plug your phone in and put it in bootloader
(power off your phone...hold power, volume down and camera)
press the ... in rsd lite and find the sbf file
make sure your phone shows up in rsd and press start

so you moved su to xbin

you can now put the froyo update on your sdcard, boot into recovery and apply it

this might be off topic. if my X is not rooted, i should not have a su file in /system/xbin.
i was rooted but update went bad had to do a restore.

umm it might have survived. I suggest re-rooting then overwriting the one that is there.

Im afraid to update mine, I have it working the way I want, apk's renamed and Im rooted, root explorer works and I have wireless tether working, I don't want break it.
I still wonder whats gonna happen when VZW pushes the update to my phone? I expect it to fail because I renamed files
