Accessories Samsung Vibrant Cases

Just got the Body Glove case mentioned earlier.

I REALLY like it.

Very solid, feels good, nice fit - has a qualty look and feel to it.

Back is like a textured rubber harder than silicone. Has a thin dark chrome front frame that looks good - not as thick/clunky looking as some of the thick front rubber frame cases. I suppose the thick fronts protect the phone better if dropped but they look too military and thick for me.

Does not stick in pocket or pick up lint. Also comes with an optional back stand so you can prop the phone up on a desk to watch movies, etc..

More expensive than silicone though, but over life of the phone i think its well work it. Thanks to the OP for pointing it out. :D

Can someone recommend me a good case and screen protector for my Vibrant? I went ahead and got the InvisibleShield from ZAGG when I ordered this and today I got both the phone and the InvisibleShield. I can easily say ZAGG InvisibleShield is the WORST product I have bought in a very long time. And to think I paid $28 for this POS which is worth 28c , is appalling. I wrote to ZAGG asking my money back. The InvisibleShield is a pure 100% RIPOFF. And I got the easy install pack and what a false claim it was. Took me 50 min to mess with that thing to install and after umpteen tries and a 100 ugly air bubbles on the surface of my brand new Vibrant, InvisibleShield managed to make an eyesore out of my new phone with 50 min of drudge work. People in ZAGG should be shot in public squares for selling this POS at $28 (incl first class shipping). That thing is not worth more than a quarter and ZAGG has to pay you for pain and suffering to install that goddamn thing. Can you tell I am frustrated and furious over this practical joke ZAGG played on me today?

Please recommend me a good case (and I'll probably go with the Boxwave screen protector which consistently has been the best one so far in all my previous devices).

And avoid ZAGG products, especially InvisibleShield, like the bubonic plague.

This is the WORST product EVER. Biggest shopping mistake I have made in a very long time.

My Personal Recommendation: AVOID

Get a Realook SP. You get two for $10.99 (10% less if you can get a code), looks good and finger slides nice just like on the glass. You also get two camera lens protectors with it.

Here is a link for it, It also has some case recomendations if you scrool down. http://www.amazon.com/REALOOK-T-Mobile-Samsung-Vibrant-Protector/dp/B003WL4W6M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282794294&sr=8-1

Is there a leather case or pouch the can fit the Samsung Vibrant with a silicone case on?

The Verizon Custom Horizontal Leather Case fits perfectly with the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant Silicon Gel Skin ON.

If thats the case, I am curious too.
Opps. Never mind. I didn't realize that "Unsupported Browser" was a link to the T-Mobile site, which is the "they" in question.

I was just being impatient waiting for your review of the Samsung case and hoping that's what their post was about. I hope UPS comes early for you! ;)

Yup me too! I will keep my promise and post a vid on youtube of it. Gotta wait till next week at latest or if Im very luck tomorrow on Friday.

I ended up buying the pink snap on case from TMob today. I'm kind of annoyed with myself over it. I just went in to see if they had anything new and I ended up buying something. It isn't what I wanted so I should've waited. I want a really soft and flexible case. This is a hard metal like case and it doesn't really provide any grip. On the other hand, it provides some much needed pizazz/color to the phone.

No snazzy leather cases for the Vibrant? Something along the lines of Vaja, Orbino Strada or Piel Frama cases? I had a Vaja iVolution case for my iPhone and that was one hell of a case with style, form and function.

No stylish leather cases for Vibrant with impact protection ?

I went by a T-Mobile store last night because they had the previously mentioned clear cover with kickstand.

I kind of like the idea of a kickstand since putting the phone down flat muffles the audio so much. Well, the case is really a mixed bag. It actually has "Body Glove" on it, so it is apparently one of theirs, but it isn't the I've seen.

Pluses:

  • Kickstand comes out and snaps into place for both portrait and landscape usage. When you aren't using it, it snaps back completely flush with the back.
  • Clear enough to let the chrome shine through.
  • It comes off fairly easily for battery changes, but I don't think it would ever slip off.
  • There are cutouts for the lock and volume buttons. I like to be able to access them directly, but some might prefer them to be covered/protected as well.
Minuses:

  • The case is open at the top and bottom, so while it protects the corners, sides, back, and a little in front (without covering the screen), it doesn't do squat for the ends.
  • Angle of kickstand is not adjustable.
  • Kickstand is thin and feels a bit flimsy.
  • The "Black rubber grips" are nearly as slick as the clear plastic, making it a rather slippery case overall. I don't personally find it too slippery, but contrary to some, I don't find the phone itself slippery, either.
  • $25
I really like the kickstand, though... It's a tough decision.

The hard case is growing on me.
I originally posted that my wife had that one, but now that I look again, it isn't the same case. It looks like that one is in two pieces. Her similar case also covers the buttons. How easy is it to get the case back off again? Her case is stuck on pretty well and will be hard to get off when I get the extra battery from Samsung for us to share.

I can see why, that is very cool looking! What other colors are available?
Right now only the fuchsia is available. I'd keep looking, I bet in a few days they will have other colors.

I wasn't really crazy about the color at first and I really considered spray painting it. I'm sure it could be done without any trouble. I've decided it's fine now though, so I'm leaving it this color.

I tried it at the store and I completely agree with your assessment.

I tried that purple silicone case at the store and I broke a fingernail trying to get it back off! This fuschia hard case is easier to get off than that. It is in 2 pieces. Just slide your fingernails b/t the grooves in the MIDDLE of the pieces on the back and push down. It's not as easy as a flexible gel case to remove but it might get easier after some wear. I've removed it about 5 times and it seems to be coming apart easier now. I'd probably say go with a flexible case if you'll be removing it very frequently.
