what keyboards are u guys using?

Anyone know if we can get the Droid X keyboard back for Froyo? (or something better)

I know mine was initially disabled...
 
Swype is my favorite. Takes a day to get used to but worth it so easy and intuitive.
 
I like Swype. But the thing about swype is you absolutely MUST get used to it or it will annoy the living daylights out of you... Once you get used to it, the old way is for the birds! One thing that helped me get more fluent with Swype is I had to teach myself to stop hitting the space bar and keep on "swyping".
 
i use the XDA keyboard HTC_IME....it's exactly like the stock HTC keyboard, but without the annoying arrows. If i have to go back in a text to correct something, the voice to text deal hates me sometimes, i just press near the word...the touch screen is pretty accurate in guessing where i'm trying to go...
 
i installed the swiftkey beta last night, and wow...it is my new fav. granted, i do miss the speach to text function, but being able to type 2 letters and then space as pretty much spoiled me....i do wish it would learn words as well....good thing its a beta!
 
I've been trying out the new Froyo stock keyboard, and Swiftkey. I just can't do without the arrow keys. Swiftkey tends to misspell more words than the EVO stock keyboard, and with no arrows, it's VERY frustrating.

I use Swype. I use the microphone for speach, too. I like that I can easily switch between the two types of input. I *think* they will add the microphone before it comes out of beta. The speech to text is what finally sold me on getting a touch phone to begin with, Swype makes it even THAT much better and easier for me.
 
Anyone using ShapeWriter is there an easier way to do punctuation? Right now I have to hold down the key to do it and its annoying and really slowing me down

yep. i find the spell correction on the stock keyboard the best by far. i make mistakes on all keyboards, so it comes down to which one will automatically fix my mistakes the best.
 
I wish there was a keyboard that emulates a blackberry. I would like to have an "alt" key where you press it once and all the alternate items come up instead of long pressing or having to hit the 123 button. When you have that alt key it's automatic you just press it and you know exactly where the exlamation point or question mark will be and once you press it automatically goes back to letters. It's so cumbersome to hit 123 key, get symbol, hit abc key, back to texting finally.
 
swiftkey is hands down the best. Once it learns how you type, you can send alot of messages wit just typing the 1st letter. It will guess the rest of the text for you with you entering ANYTHING. Its amazing.
