also making peoples phones do the update while they are not in use (when on a charger) is a good idea too.
the only problem i see with this is that some people might never charge the phone to 100%.

someone said they got the update while they were out fishing on a lake. couldnt have been 100%, or charging, or on wifi, and didnt reboot first.

I think we are all thinking too much into it and should just accept that its completely random.
 
You will get the notice no matter what your battery level is at. After you 'Accept' the update it then checks your battery status because once the phone reboots there is no way to have it charging while the update installs. If this failsafe wasn't in place, you could end up short of battery in the middle of the install and no way to recover from it. Also, for those that don't know, this is the same with the RUU installation.

It has to be fully charged and lying face down on something made of wood. There have been a couple cases where its worked on a glass table but only if the frame is made out of wood.

ok, so i guess what we have to do is....
go stand on the roof of a strip club while they are playing "upgrade U - Beyonce"
and run around trying to use our incredibles like butterfly nets to catch someone elses update!

RIGHT??

ok here i have a better idea...

how about this:
everyone else turn your incredible off. after every single other droid incredible is off verizon will have no choice but to send me my upgrade right?
