Accessories Samsung Vibrant Cases

Those are great! I love the white one. If someone orders one (when they become avail) let us know how it is.
 
Hey all,

Thought I'd post some pics of the OEM Samsung Silicon skin, as mentioned in a few posts before. Got the pink one for my wife and this one for me. I didn't like the design of this one at first, but it's grown on me.

Very good quality silicon skin, and not rubberized at all...nice and smooth while still adding a comfortable amount of "grip". The inside of the skin is a nice blue (same blue as the back design), but no pics since you don't see that while it's on.

Now, anybody know of a good holster clip that would be compatible with this? I get about 20-30 calls daily while going from job site to job site, and miss how quickly I could grab my BlackBerry and put it away.

Oh, actually I was not the person who originally posted the link, but no problem! I would assume they ship to the US....I assumed that's where the site was. Haha. But would the Galaxy S cases fit the Vibrant?

I have heard that the Vibrant is very slightly wider than the Galaxy S, but it wouldn't be a problem for stretchy cases like silicone gel. However, being that the ones you brought up are hard cases, I would lean towards them not fitting. But this is more of a guess of mine, as I haven't actually tried it nor heard from someone who has.

Oh! I thought you posted that site. Anyhow, I found out they are based in HongKong but they do ship to US and Europe. It definitely did not look like a US site though, so I wondered and it turns out, they are in HK.

RiseUp, from what I know and don't quote me on this, Samsung Galaxy S and Vibrant differ in width only by 0.3mm which is very negligible so a case that fits Galaxy S should fit Vibrant. Those mesh cases everyone seems to go head over heels for, are made to fit Galaxy S but fits Vibrant as well. And those are hard cases btw.
 
Yeah, I recognize they are hard cases, that is the kind I am looking for. I don't like the tmo gel case for the fact that it is so hard to get in and out of my pocket.
And since there is a difference, I wonder if anyone has bought this case and successfully put it on their Vibrant. I don't want to spend that much money on a case and have it have poor fitment.
 
From what I know pattywak, lot of people seem to be liking the mesh case which is made for Galaxy S, and that fits the Vibrant apparently. I think the dimension differences between Galaxy S and Vibrant are negligible enough that the cases can be interchangeable.
 
I have a black mesh cover. Got it more for the grip and ill be getting another case when more come available but one thing i dont like about the mesh is dust gets in the holes and when you take off the cover, you have a bunch of dust spots on it and im not even working in a dust area. I figured that would happen but be more noticable when you are in construction or something.
 
Has anyone bought the hard cases I linked to a few posts earlier? Or any hard case (not counting the mesh one) ? If so, post up your impressions on them.
 
I am debating between the SGP hard case listed on the site, which comes with a Ultra Crystal screen protector OR the mesh case and the screen protector and the price of both combinations are about the same at $25 plus shipping.

I have the case from Case-Mate and like it quite a bit. It's not as hard as the SGP or the Body Glove case, but I expect it will stand up very well, short of dropping it from 6 feet onto concrete.

That is my concern with many of the cases discussed here. They look very cool but don't offer the best protection. Personally, my priorities are #1: Protection #2: Appearance.

I don't find the Tmo Gel to be that much of a dust magnet. But I admit it isn't the most attractive option out there in the appearance department.

The Mesh case on that site above is $5 cheaper than the one i got from Korea. Hec if you get that mesh case id get a Realook SP with it and both will cost you around $20-21 and you get two SP's and two Camera lens protectors. I ordered another Realook pack on the 25th and got it today.

Im looking for another case that is kinda hard but has a slight rubber type grip to it but dont want the case to be rubber. Those two piece cases look nice but think they wont have the grip im loking for...and they are more than i want to pay.

Yeah the mesh case is only 10.50 or so but the Ultra Crystal screen protector is 14.50 so together its $25. I need both and the SGP case comes with a complimentary screen protector but the mesh case doesn't. So it all adds up to the same.
Now the question is, is the mesh case better or the SGP hard case? Mesh Case looks really cool though. I wonder which one offers better impact protection.

What do you guys think of those Lamborghini leather cases? Or the other leather cases listed there? It looks very stylish and seems like it would offer good protection for impact.

Yeah, I've seen that case before. But I'm looking for the smooth hard texture for the back. To put simply, the kind I of surface I can put stickers on. I like my Tmo Gel-Case, but I really am looking for a hard shell type case to put on.

Dont know anything about the ultra crystal screen protector but i do know the Realook is very good and you get TWO plus two camera protectors for $10.99
