Just got my confirmation email with the Fedex tracking number. Ordered 8/16, was due to ship by 8/31.

Will receive it on 8/31 now by Fedex 2nd day air.

Verizon's order confirmation page still states "Due to overwhelming inventory demands, your DROID X by Motorola order will ship on 08/31/2010"
 
just got my shipping Confirmation!!!! woooo hooooo my X will be here monday!!!!

ordered online - 16th
shipping Conf - 27th
expected delivery - 30th............. 1 day before the ship by date
 
Just got my shipping conf. also!!!! Shipping from Memphis (1 hr 40 mins away)

ordered online 8/15 - processed 8/16
Shipped 8/27
Delivery should be 8/30.

Woooo hoooooo Finally!!!!!!!!!

I am in Alabama as well. Maybe I will get mine too. I will call tomorrow, but Im not getting my hopes up
 
me and dawg are in fairly close to the same region, so that makes sense!! i'm glad to get off this thread and get on w/ another one!!!

I'm coming from a nextel i576 it's most impressive feature is that it can store 300 contacts. I'm getting a little fed up with Verizon right now and I'm really considering changing carriers from my wife's plan. Just ship me my damn phone!!!

Just recieved my confirmation email today saying the phone finally shipped(8/27)! Coming from Ontario, CA. So it should be getting into the store tomorrow, hopefully, since i am within the Los Angeles County :)

That was a couple beers talking. I'm just being impatient and a little confused by ship by dates and the order in which people are getting their phones. Verizon has not yet missed their ship by date for me although they do show a later ship date on my order status than what was shown in the red dot on the web site. I may call them if I don't hear something by the red dot date but I guess I really can't complain too much unless they miss their ship by date.
 
Strange, my ship by date has changed.

Ordered online 8/19 @ 12:30 pm EDT
Red dot showed ship by 8/31 at the time of order.
Later that same day red dot showed ship by 9/7.
Website status showed will ship 9/6 until today.
Website status now shows will ship 9/3.
I guess they figured out 9/6 is labor day.

I'm still hoping to get it before the weekend though.

Standard Overnight Shipping should be here by 3:00 pm 8/31

About 12 days total (8 business)
Happy that they are still beating the red dot shipping date.

Shipped from Memphis. Arrived at sort destination in berkley, mo on 8/29

Live just outside St. Louis. Hoping the FedEx status updates later today to show on truck for delivery on 8/30, but can wait till the 31st if I need to.

Also, went to the Verizon store last evening to get daughters a case for their phones. Told the CSR and he reported he has heard a lot got shipped Friday. Good luck to all who are waiting.

Looks like we'll be sharing a truck....for the first leg at least. You have overnight, while I have the 2 day shipping.
