Android 2.2 [Froyo] Bugs and Questions - Post em Here

I manually loaded the 2nd froyo(FRG22) update to my droid and my corporate e-mail is dead, it started crashing on me so I did a hardware reset, now when I try to sign in using the same settings as before, the e-mail client force closes.

I also have been having some odd WiFi behavior as well as some home screen issues..

Has anyone else been having this problem. You go into your stock messenger and lets say you have a new msg there and a couple of old ones for other people. You click on the new msg but it goes to one of the old msgs from one of the other people that you have already looked at maybe a day ago. Mine has been doing this for two weeks now on and off. It is starting to get on my nerves. I did the force update the same week it was posted up in the forums. I have done a factory reset since then and it has not help me out in any way.

Im having this exact problem! Its quite frustrating! Does anyone have a fix for it?

Also this has happened to me twice now since the update...im in the middle of sending a text and all of a sudden all of my messaging threads get erased. When I go into my contacts to select a person to text...or manually enter a number to text...the text message gets sent to the wrong person! When the conversation is open it says the correct persons name but once you back out into the thread inbox...its a random contact or recently texted number that is not in my contacts that the text actually gets sent to! What gives! Once i restart the phone the issue clears up but still id rather it not happen in the first place. This alone makes me want to dump the Droid! Otherwise its perfect. Can anyone offer any help? Im using the stock messenger and haven't added any new apps since the update.

I'm having a lot of trouble with killing apps with ATK on 2.2. It's not killing apps. I'll touch kill all apps,go back to it and a whole different list of apps are on there. Apps that I havent been to in days and it's affecting my battery too. Can anyone help me out?

Ever since I downloaded the 2.2 update these are my issues: 1) both incoming and outgoing calls, the caller can not hear me, then the call disconnects after about 20 seconds; 2) My icons take a good 5-10 seconds to show up on my home screen when waking the phone or returning from and application; 3) My internet browser will not close upon returning to the home screen, when I hit the browser button the last page I visited is still there; 4) My phone no longer hooks up to my hands free in my car, it shows it is paired but the call is not put through the cars speaker system, and 5) I am getting voicemails a day late and no notification of missed calls.
I have had this phone for two months now and I am devastated I am pretty much stuck with it since I am no longer in the 30 trial period and I can not afford to upgrade at full retail price. This phone is useless to me since I can't even make a phone call from it

I did not read the whole thread, but want to throw a problem out there sorry if its been posted. 2.2 is giving me a headache and I do a lot of driving so I listen to a lot of media. Pandora, google listen, slacker so forth, since the update when I receive a call about 70% of the time the media keeps playing while the phone call is active. I have to hangup on the person and call them back.

My Droid has a mind of it own sometimes. I have the number lock and random numbers start appearing without me typing them in or it will open up apps. Open the dial screen and dial the last couple of numbers i called. This only started after 2.2 . The only way to get it to stop was to either turn the phone off and then back on or if that didn't work pull the battery but it starts doing it again every now and then once or twice a day

I'm not certain that this exclusively the issue but in my case, I was told that if the Exchange OWA server has an internal SSL certificate, you will not be able to establish a connection with the server. Perhaps as an escalation of security, 2.2 requires an external SSL certificate? In my settings for this services, "Accept all certificates" is NOT checked.

I've tried connecting to Exchange with every setting choice possible. It worked before the update. A third party app got the phone to synch. But all emails and contacts are in this program not the phone. There is something on this new release of the Android which is failing to synch.

Problems - try uninstalling Task Killers

I forced FRG01 and had no problems, however after I forced FRG22 my phone was super buggy. Slow, freezing all the time, randomly calling people, not calling people when I tried, lag, slow refresh, lots of 1x instead of 3g. Well I uninstalled ATK (which wasn't even set to automatically kill anything) and now my phone is smooth again. Launcher Pro still has the occasional slow refresh after closing my browser, but it is tons better and no more constant FCs. Not sure how to explain why, but getting rid of ATK solved all my problems and its easy enough to try.

Received an update to my 2.2 the other day and ever since then my swype is not working. Anyone else having this issue?

I just got the OTA Froyo update for my HTC Incredible on Verizon. Now when i go in to the People application and touch the icon next to a person's name, the menu comes up with two "phones" on it, one to make a call, and one where gtalk used to be. When i touch the second phone, it brings up a list of crazy apps to associate it with. Most of the apps to associate are not actually anything.

No.

Uninstall the Swype application only - not hte installer.

Then run the installer again and let it download the Swype app abnd install it again.

You should then be good to go.

Went to manage apps to remove the application and the only thing in there is the installer.

It's definitely still there in the keyboard settings but it's not showing up in manage apps or in the app tray.

Halp!

It seems with the new update it takes forever to load the pic gallery and it no longer puts the folders in alphabetical order. Is this normal?

Ever since I downloaded 2.2 to my phone it will not vibrate when I receive text messages. It will vibrate when I receive a phone call but not for text messages. I am pretty disappointed with this software. This is the second phone I have had problems with. The first update bricked my first Droid.

Anyone else having problems with their incoming text messages?

First update bricked my first droid as well

Second update has now bricked my second droid, anyone else? It reboots and gets passed the moto screen but then is hanging at the doid red eye and will go no further.

So I noticed that I can't use all my apps all of the time. Occasionally I will pick up my phone and go to launch some thing and all I get is repeated force close. Today I wanted to check the market for some thing and I couldn't use the market?

I have to power off the phone and power it back on to resolve these issues....I usually do this about once a day now. It's kinda ******ed actually...

I have a Jawbone 2. When the 2.2 was first pushed to my Motorola Droid, true Hands Free Dialing worked. I could hit the power button and the phone would ask for a command. About a week ago, another version of the 2.2 was pushed to me. After I ran the update, I realized the Hands Free Dialing had ceased to work. I called Verizon this morning and it "seemed" as if they were aware of the problem but had not had significant input from users. Has anyone else noticed this series of events?
