OK, ordered mine on 8/18, and just got an e-mail this morning with a shipping number, and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow *GLEE!* They gave me free overnight shipping. had the e-mail on my phone when I woke up this morning, so that's a nice way to start the day. Just one more day of AT&T, then I'll go to the store Wednesday and get the numbers all ported over and get out from under Steve Jobs thumb for good! Actually, I may keep the iPhone and just use it like an iPod Touch, but I will DEFINITELY be done with AT&T!

Looks like we are on identical schedules, except I bought mine in-store instead of online!

suppose to be here before 3pm...

the fed ex is roughly an 1hr5/10min from me...

better be here before 3pm.. lol

Where in NorCal are you? I'm in Redwood Valley up here in Mendocino County in Northwestern California, I'm halfway between Ukiah and Willits. Congrats on the delivery date and info, have fun with that guy tomorrow! I ordered mine on the 10th, and it finally came on the 25th.

Congrats! Hey, did you get overnight? I had 2 day FedEx shipping on mine, and it said by 7 PM, though it came at Noon. The local FedEx Center for this area is in Ukiah, about 10 miles south of me.

Estimated ship date (website): 9/09/10


I will update once I receive a shipping notification.
 
Got my email this morning.

Ordered on the 21st, told it would be shipped by the 10th. 9 day wait on shipment, 11 days total from being ordered.

Very happy.

Mine was free overnight shipping before 3PM PDT.

FedEx was late well after 7PM PDT. I called FedEx Customer Service @ 6PM PDT to tell them I was FedUp since they were late. Customer Service had no idea where my package was or were the driver was. Yeah right. I'm sure those guys are tracked by GPS. So good luck getting it on time.

i still haven't received any information on mine, ordered on the 21st at about 9:30 am and was told it would ship by the seventh
 
I ordered mine today and the ship date is 9/10. Im really hoping that it ships before that but not real optimistic at this point.

I live mainly in Sacramento County, but have a second home in Plumas County. During a recent visit to relatives in Sea Ranch, I realized that only Verizon had coverage. None of my relatives who all have iPhones could make any calls. Checking Verizon's coverage maps and knowing that I can text etc, from my cabin, I decided to stick with Verizon and try the Droid X. My first Smart phone.
Congrats to you too. Hope the phone was worth your wait. I'm anxious to try mine in the mountains later this week. Where I live I am unable to get high speed internet, hoping the phone will get broadband. Verizon's maps show it exists all around the area.
 
Whoo!! Finally got my X today. So far so good. Can't wait to start downloading all the apps I've read about and really start to mess around with my phone.
p.s. I'm on my X typing this:)

Good luck with that reasoning, I hope it works for you. Somewhere up here^^^^^^^^^ someone ordered the same day I did on-line just like me and they received their shipping info already. No such luck with mine.

I don't think there is any way to possibly understand the shipping and order process unless you are the Verizon employee in charge of processing orders and shipping. And from the looks of it, they may not even understand what is going on!

received email about shipping 8/29 (arrived at fedex Memphis)

no updates on Fed ex tracking since? Hoping it is on the truck and on it's way here. Thinking no updates means it got missed and is not still sitting in Memphis?

ugh, estimated delivery is tomorrow according to tracking site.

Anyone else have this issue with tracking not being updated?
 
Received my DroidX ab an hour ago! Already had to pull the battery on this thing but im lovin it so im hopin it was just a one time glitch. Happy overall!

I am in the same situation as you. Got my email 8/29 that it was in Memphis and should be delivered 9/1 also, but there is no new tracking information on the FEDEX site.

Yeah, I have this vision of our phones lost in a corner of the warehouse gathering dust.....
 
I got my phone for a little over an hour ago, and so far i've already have about 30 Apps and dowloading more. It was a hell of a wait, but it is so worth it.

Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, too.
