My Quandrant Standard benchmark test went from 560s before Froyo to 1110 now! So far, so good! It's definitely faster. Also, I'm getting better reception. So far, I'm very pleased, but still testing.

No update for me today it looks like, nor two of my friends who also have Incredibles. But they are really pouring in now, definitely a good sign.

Does it matter if ur phone was off all night? If it was supposed to come to you over night, and your phone was off, does that mean it will be pushed another time? Or will it show up when you turn on your phone?

I am rooted, but I only use it to run apps, I have not installed any ROMs.

I am aware that things will go back to unrooted if I say yes to this. I like the changes I made and want to keep them.

I've seen a guide to using the leaked files for updating and re-rooting, but nothing about what to do with the OTA.

Is there one out there?

I don't know the answer to that, but my question is whether the phone will brick if i install the ota ...?

I'm rooted but nothing more, like the OP.

Also, how do i disable the "update nag" ?

Since the OTA pretty much wipes the old stuff out, I don't think it will brick, I have no idea how to disable the nag.

I just don't want to say yes until I know what I need to do to get back to where I am.

I was wondering the same, because I turned mine off. I see below someone in Cleveland got it, so I'm hoping I get it today.

Also, if I leave my phone on, and I get it during the night, and my phone reboots (which it most surely will) will it pop back up that the update is ready to be installed?

Woke up to the system update notification this morning. Although this is my first post, I have been glued to this forum reading every post pertaining to Froyo 2.2. I feel like I know all of you as I have shared in all of the pent up frustration that most of you have had waiting for this thing. After syncing with appbrain and making my own local backup with mybackup I went ahead and allowed the system to install the update. The upshot is.....that...this thing is awesome ! I have experienced no browser lag or lag of any type whatsoever. Flash 10.1 turns this thing into a near laptop replacement. I experienced no lag or chop in Flash either...it's simply brilliant. Wireless n speed is phenomenal ( if you have an n capable network). They have done away with the little 'keyboard off' button in favor of using the left arrow instead..saves keyboard space and makes spacebar a bit larger...I think it's a good improvement. Downloaded Voice actions and Chrome to Phone....unbelievable! Quadrant score is now 1170...was 553 with 2.1. Overall... the phone and all of its functions feel snappier. I am sure that some things are not perfect yet but in general most everything is better in this update...so don't worry. It seems they are ramping up the speed of the rollout so I hope that it will be coming to the rest of you soooooon and thanks to all of you for being a great source of information for everything Incredible....It's been a wild ride to get here but now.....ENJOY
